Van Persie's knee?

That would seem like the reason. If Falcao has a good season I can see it being made permanent as RVP is getting on a bit.

Deal done for Falcao! Seems a bit mental :o
Loan deal for one season apparently. Will they be paying £20 million for one year like was reported Liverpool would have to pay a few weeks ago? Crazy money if so.

No. Talk of a full deal at silly money...

Edit : Now a loan deal mentioned at 12M

Rene Meulensteen is being linked with a return. Can only be a good thing I think.

No pace or urgency coming out from the back. The next time they play it will be a very changed team but will they be any better????

Van Gaal confirms he expects more transfer activity: "The club will [announce] when the time's there. Players will leave, others will come."

Very good :) Remind me of Everton's recent trophy haul again?

I posted it tongue in cheek. A fake no doubt! :P

Causing some bother. I bring cars in from England to sell on and it is proving a pain in the a$$. I shudder to think what cherished transfers are going to be like..

I won't panic on tonight's result. There is only one competition for Utd to think about this season and not too many of tonight's team will play a big part in the league. They will be a different side when the new players come in and buy into the game plan. Well done to MK though!
Chin up sure ye have the Champions League draw on Thursday to look forward to.

Going by what I watched last night I think the Champions League will indeed provide some entertainment this year.  ;)

It's hardly a fair comparison GJL.

Madrid have scored over 100 goals each of the past 5 seasons (for comparison, only 3 times has a club in the history of the EPL topped 100 goals in a season).

He's also spent the past few years giving the ball to CR7.

His stats are impressive, no doubt. But Ozil's were every bit as impressive this time last year. Let's see how it pans out.

Fair points indeed but he still will add much to this side. If it will be enough to get them back to the top 4 will depend on who joins him before this day week.
