General discussion / Belfast City Airport
October 27, 2022, 09:07:45 PM
Little help if possible as it's been a long while since I've flown from GB airport....

1. How long to walk from Sydenham train stop to airport
2. If checking in online and no bags...how close can you cut arriving at airport for flight - 45min before departure time ?

GAA Discussion / Software for Drills
June 29, 2020, 02:45:41 PM
Can anyone reccomend a decent bit of software for desiging drills - doesn't need to be fancy, just something that allows you to knock up a quick drawing w. words that can be saved, shared and printed off as necessary?

Just curious - how many clubs would have a dedicated goalkeeping coach, even just for the senior team?

Can anyone tell me what exactly "neither the time nor the spoons" refers to? (I get the gist of not having time to waste, but don't get the metaphor?)

Just curious on this one... as someone who doesn't live in Belfast.....while no-one wants to see folks lose their jobs....is there a cogent economic argument to be made for public money to be used in a H&W bail out (over AN Other local company that's failing), given they only employ 120 odd staff, or it is purely a symbolic issue?

An all Ulster match up, who'da thought it.

Won't be a stroll in the park for Tyrone, Cavan have been well fit for us in the past and wil be smarting after the Donegal hammering.

So...it's the long and winding road again for Tyrone.

Longford are no pushovers when it comes to the qualifiers having beaten Mayo and Monaghan in previous years, so it would be very foolish for MH and/or the team to take them lightly.

Will need a much improved performance to beat them as this has massive potential for an upset.

Where would be a good pub in Donabate to watch a match and get some food?

May have 2 tickets spare - anyone want them please PM me  - face value.

Have we become so blasé about things that the aul traditional rivalry doesn't merit it's own thread?

Will Derry's momentum keep going into this match?
Will the memory of the hammering given to the defending All Ireland Champions in 2006 fill Tyrone with fear?
Will Mickey's confdence be misplaced?
Will Omagh be a sell-out?
Will Tyrone keep to themore expansive game we saw in the latter stages of the league?

.......

Too early to say this is a must win for Tyrone?

Lose first 2 in a row and your whole focus is then placed on battling to avoid relegation.

General discussion / Samsung TV Help
November 23, 2018, 11:08:37 AM
Have had a Samsung Smart tv for a coule months now - everything going grand....then

Last night it just stopped connecting to the WiFi (everything else  - phone etc - connects fine).

Tried all the usual resets etc (even a factory reset), firmware is up to date and nothing seems to work - it either doesn't connect to the Router, connects to Router but not to the internet or connects for 2-3 min then drops again.

Anyone had similar problems?

I read that if there are problems with Samsung's own servers this can affect internet connection - but is my TV really routing through there??

GAA Discussion / Cavan v Tyrone
June 25, 2018, 10:22:43 AM
Great draw for both teams.

Home advantage for Cavan should make this a real 50/50 match up (or is it in Clones??).

Being away form Omagh won't hurt Tyrone either I would say.

For whoever wins this will be perfect preparation for a crack at one of the beaten Provincial finalists.

No point in having walkovers at this stage....

GAA Discussion / Carlow v Tyrone
June 11, 2018, 08:50:21 AM
If Brolly couldn't stand Carlow's blanket approach v Laois at the weekend, he's really gonna love Carlow v Tyrone....

Might as well get this started.....the 2 favourites play each other in the QF....will Monaghan build on their league success or will Tyrone bring a much better game to this one....

Bar the odd outlier Tyrone have usually had Monaghan's number in the championship this past 10-15 years. Any reason it will be different this time around?
#19
So....may as well get this started.....on paper easy for Tyrone, in reality.....never easy against the aul enemy.

Derry will have plenty to motivate them after last years humiliation and this years relegation.

Would MH survive a defeat?

Will we see a different Tyrone to the league?

General discussion / Sky Broadband

Anyone use Sky Broadband? Is it OK speed and coverage wise?

Thinking of changing from BT as there is no point being charged for landlines in this day and age.
