They were 2 cylinders and he moved around twice and then picked out his favourite team. No chance of a fix there.

Well yer man on the left was trying to be all officias and did ye not see Lyster tryting to hold a straight face. The first can yer man picked out, I thought it by the struggler he was having that it was a bottle of wine with a friging cork in it, he was like a lad trying to skin a rabbit, at one stage I thought the two of them, him and the canister were going to get down on the ground.

I saw it again and again when this rubbish comes up - if it is so obvious that the draw is rigged, predict it in advance

What did Lyster have to do with it?

Did anybody else pick up on Ger Canning asking Paddy Naughton and Willie Joe during the draw to " Give it a little stir around", sounding like a cooking class, the two boys must have felt like right eejeets.

can any body post the draw on video, it was hilarious.

They just try and make it look like it is!

Exactly. Pulling out the canister and then virtually turning their backs on the camera. Hilarious stuff.

If bowl C was at least not see-through it might have lent a bit of credibility. There is no way that the guy putting in his cannister did not know which was which when giving it a stir.

Yeah, but the most he'd have known is whether it was a Round 1 winner, or a semi final loser. They didn't open the cannisters until they were pickout out of bowl C. Your man had a method though. Hand on the one he wanted, circle around twice, then open.

It's like the club lotto :)

Cringe worthy alright but not as bad as when TV3 did a few draws a couple of years ago.....Trevor Welsh didnt know what he was taking about, getting counties mixed up and unable to pronounce the names in Irish....think he referred to Cill Mhaintain as  Down  :D

I'm sick of those little fujifilm canisters.
Could they not come up with a system involving hamsters or something.
"And we're just waiting on the next hamster to see who plays Meath.........and it's Sligo. Wait, Meath has just climbed out of the bowl so Sligo will now play Offaly. Sligo and Offaly will race each other to decide home advantage."

That would be absolutely class. But the Offaly hamster would probably stop in the pub.

The Sligo Hamster would then become favourite, and would probably run the wrong way and lose.

Marty Morrisey should run the draw with Martin Carney. Marty would surley give the hamster a stupid nickname and proceed to reference the hamsters parents, uncles, and siblings, who all may have entered hamster races over the past fifty years while not necessarly winning anything. Martin Carney would not be able to definitly say whethet or not the Offaly hamster "actually" went into the pub, "Marty, while it looked close,I am not quite sure if he crossed the door line, and I would have to give the benifit of the doubt to the officials on this one"

Ger Canning would know the ages and weights of all the hamsters and would make it his business to pass this information on to the viewers.
"6 months old, 250 grams..... he's quite a hamster."

Pat Spillane laments the good old days when hamsters were sleek, skillful and pure of heart. Nowadays it's all about who's the biggest and strongest. Not surprisingly, the Ulster counties bear the brunt of his criticism.

Not really sure if it could work, Cork hamster would go on strike and not come out of the bowl, Kerry hamster gets suspended  and decides not to speak to the press, then to top it off, the referees committee would probably appoint Marty Duffy as referee who would promptly give a Yellow or Red card to every hamster exiting bowl C, just to get himself some camera time.
Meanwhile back in the RTE studio, Tommy  and Bernard  are both foaming at the mouth, unable to come up with anything objective to say and making absolutely no sense whatsoever, until finally completely agreeing with each other comments. " Sure isint that right Bernard", to which Bernard answers "absolutely" while at the same time moving his hands all over the place.
Michael Lyster rescues them once again "right lads, that where we have to leave it until next Sunday. "

I'm not getting into that whole debate about bringing in outside guinea pigs to manage a team of under performing hamsters.
It's been done to death.

Yeah, but where does it end. It's a slippery slope, and the thin end of a wedge that's leaving the door ajar for the horse to bolt. I can see it now, teams of mercenary mice, prairy dogs, gerbils and even fecking ferrets coming in and playing on these 'hamster' teams.

I'm telling you, when we have a ferret running up the leg of Marty's trousers and picking the next ball out of the hat, the GAA is dead.

As long as the hamster and the guinea pig are from the same parish there should be no reason to stop them from playing on the same team.

Only up to under 12. After that you have to separate them because the guinea pigs get too strong, and sure they'd be at each other in the dressing rooms as well.
