I see a few places saying today that Paul Durcan us back for the Ballyboden match. Is he definitely eligible? Played the middle eastern games at the weekend in qatar and now for ballyboden 2 weeks later

You don't need a transfer to play for a middle eastern club.

Why? You need one in Australia

Aye, it's more the other way round.

A native of Offaly, Kirwan played hurling and football with Ballyskenagh but has been living in Cork for a number of years where he has played hurling at junior and intermediate levels with Erin's Own in Ovens.

It's not out of any goodness of the heart that TG4 are showing these games - TG4's viewership numbers without the GAA coverage would look abysmal.

The fact that Fastest Gun Alive - A western from 1954 was the 8th most popular programme says volumes.

This isn't a once off - The GAA coverage is consistently the most popular stuff broadcast and when you get down to the bottom half of the top 10  there's usually a couple woeful utter bottom of the barrel films. You have to wonder how few viewers TG4 really have if this sort of stuff is making the top 10.
