Inexcusable miss. He cost Portlaoise that match.

SHEEDY

Great game, gutted for portlaoise. Best match I've seen in ages.

Brilliant game but Port will be kicking themselves for not taking home the trophy

Great game, some of the club action this year has been outstanding.
Senior County football could follow its lead, club football not obsessed with fitness and tactics and produces more than a handful of good games.

just in from Tullamore. PortLaosie left that behind. Not even the free at the end but the goal chance before that hit the  post really should have been buried. thought the Portlaoise no 15 was outstanding.

Its completely obsessed with fitness and tactics as much as the county game. The Dublin top clubs have the same strength and conditioning programmes the Dublin team have.

Still many club players around the country that rarely see the inside of a gym never mind on strength and conditioning programmes.

But they are not serious footballers. That's senior club football on view today -that's serious sport

Not many, if any, where I come from. Anyone not prepared to do the work in the gym would be told by fellow players not to bother with the senior panel. And we are not at the level of the two teams today.

You're well out of touch Captain. Top clubs in every county have well kitted out gyms and a strength and conditioning programme for each senior player. If you haven't you'll be left behind.

Think you are wrong there. Imo there is not now a senior football club team in the country that doesn't have gym and s and c programmes. Most intermediate teams also.

An increase in gyms, strength and conditioning programmes was brought into club level on the wishes of county players the last few years. That doesn't mean it's compulsory and judging the body shape of certain non county players or former county players at club level it proves club football is not obsessed with fitness as much as the county game has been.

That's for other counties. It certainly doesn't exist in Dublin club football in any serious team. The only nedser on view for Boden today was the goalkeeper
