or it could be promoted have it shown  on TV (sky  to rile the old timers and create a row ) make it an honour again to play for the province , though most players already think so , esp those from couties who never get to the later stages of the championship  like antrim longford Roscommon etc. have the final under flood lights at the new barrys tea stadium in cork .
could be a handy opening fixture?

If you wanted little or no pesky spectators getting in the way of the opening ceremonies :-\

Might go to the final on Sunday in Parnell park.
Anyone know where the panels are listed or who's the Ulster manager?

I believe the 2 Ulster games are put back to Sunday due to death of Danny Murphy RIP.
Finals to be refixed for sometime in the future.

No Monaghan or Donegal men. Did Arlene Foster help pick this Ulster squad?

Donegal lads having a extended break and their U21s team will play in the McKenna cup instead of their senior team

ck

This would appear to be a very strange Ulster squad. No Monaghan or Donegal men and dominated by Fermanagh?!! I can only assume that players don't want to play

It's not so much "picking" a team as gathering together those players willing to turn up.

The reason it's dominated by Fermanagh players is because with Pete in charge it was hard for the Fermanagh lads to turn hin down.

How come ulster tend to be the only province that name their squad? Certainly the other provinces lag behind at best.

Munster I think were first to name their panel this year. Connacht panel officially named today 2 from Leitrim,2 from Sligo,3 Mayo,6 Galway and 10 from Roscommon. Still awaiting the Leinster panel no dubs again I hear.

10 Roscommon men keeping the party going!

McStay will only have 50 for his first get together this weekend.

twohands!!!

14:00   1/5 Ulster v Munster 7/2   Draw 12/1

18:00   1/2 Leinster v Connacht   13/8  Draw 8/1

Odds on the football

Leinster at 1/2 seems a bit odd given there's no Dubs.

Ulster at 1/5 doesn't seem good value, even if the Munster squad was very unimpressive.
