Apologies if this was on an earlier thread. i searched but couldnt find it.

I have booked flights to Nice in August. We are staying for 7 nights and plan to hire a car. I was looking for advice on places to see things to do when we are there and advice on resonable affordable accomadation in the area.

If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated. Cheers

General discussion / Punchestown
March 30, 2009, 10:47:36 AM
Myself and a few friends are thinking of heading down to the Punchestown racing festival. We were thinking of going tot he racing on both the Thursday and Friday and staying the Thursday night. I know Punchestown is a good bit outside Dublin city so could anyone reccomend anywhere nearby to stay or would be safer staying in the city? How long would it take to get to the racing from the city?

General discussion / Student Loans
March 02, 2009, 09:01:32 AM
Well lads just a quick question regarding student loans. I have been working down in Dublin for the past year and a half and havent paid any contributions to my student loan. I got a letter saying that I might be subject to a 246 per month charge as Im out of the country. I was wondering has anyone else had a similar experience and what should I tell the student loan company? I would be happy to pay back a standard 50 per month or whatever but couldnt afford to pay 246. Cheers

Well lads I see Andy Murray is starting favourite for this tournament. Is this favourtism justified or is it more English hype?

I backed Federer at 5/2, think he will be hard to beat!

Someone was telling me that all club championship mathes this year will be played 35 minutes each way. Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

I know it used to be only 30 minutes each way!

General discussion / Fire Charges
May 08, 2008, 08:57:18 AM
The turbo went in my car at the M1 toll bridge at Christmas time. This caused a load of smoke which in turn caused the fire alarms to go off. The fire birgade than appeared.

Last night I received a letter from Meath county council stating that I owed 360 euro for fire charges. Will I have to pay this? I live in the north!

General discussion / TV's
April 18, 2008, 08:49:55 AM
Hi lads,

I have brought a couple of tvs down from home to Dublin and tried to get them working off the cable but I am unable to find any stations. I have tried a tv purchased down here and it works fine. I was wondering do tvs in the north work off a different frequency or what? Anyone have any ideas on this?

Cheers,

Mickey

General discussion / The Masters

Well folks whats your thoughts on the masters this year? Tiger Woods is the obvious candidate but at 11/10 he is virtually unbackable(for the average punter)! Anyone fancy any of the outsiders to do well?
