Looks like it will be an all out assault on 4th place again this year, no doubt Madrid and Barca will come sniffing in the summerfor Torres if, as expected, Benitez gets the hook.

Did I read somewhere that Anelka has found religion, and hence has mellowed on the back of it?
I think Anelka is a great player, and could make a major impact, but Chelsea can be a graveyard for strikers (Shevchenko, Sutton, Fleck, Kezman, and to a degree Crespo), and therefore I welcome him but remain slightly reserved.

The Newsletter is dying on its feet. It barely sells 20,000 monday-friday. It has reverted to type because the only people who buy it are the utter bigots. Have u ever read the letters page? unbelievable.
Its biggest sale is on a saturday because it inserts its farming weekly, which after the irish news and telegraph stopped priniting a farming supplement, is the only alternative. Ironically, the reason it sells so much on a saturday is because fenian farmers buy it to get all the news. So, basically, fenians are keeping it afloat.
The editor Darwin Templeton actually tried to change its bent when he joined but was beaten down by the bigots in the place (Kennedy, Miller) after a few months. He's sitting there on 80,000 a year, so why should he move until something better comes along?
It really is a disgrace that the oldest newspaper in the world (which started out supporting the United Irishmen) has come to this... pathetic
Andytown news is dying on its feet and has been for the past 10 years or so yet the stupid management team behind it thought they could introduce a 'republican daily' even after being told it wouldn't work... Still, I suppose as long as a few members of Sinn Fein can gain a wage from the advertising, that's all the Shinners care about

Have Dunloy been playing many 'friendly' matches?
I'll hopefully make it to Clones.

"The man who doesn't hold back"
"The Antrim forward has now joined GAELIC LIFE as a regular columnist and he starts off in flying form gunning for double talk in the GAA......"
Talks about hyprocracy in GAA re grants/pay for play. All his arguments I have seen before somewhere.......

I agree he's a good signing for chelsea. i actually think he'll be most effective playing off drogba in a 442.
not sure he'd have succeeded at united. shoulder of the last man strikers haven't fitted into fergie's teams. the nearest has been andy cole, who didn't succeed until he adapted his game and became more involved in general play. berbatov is our man... cross between eric and matt le tiss
