Besides, if he really wanted a Championship calibre team, he's not going to go to Denver. but your probably right he's looking for attention.

But with the problems the Bengals have on Defense i doubt they'll be getting to the play-off too soon. pity becuase i really like their offense, CJ, TJ and Palmer are formidable

In fairness a lot of players will use the following criteria for moving teams, (1) Money (2) talent of team, in that order.

There was talk of a few weeks back of Bengals trading Johnson to the Broncos for Javon Walker, the Broncos would certainly get the best of that trade if it happened. Johnson may be a mouth but he does produce every year.

It is a dirty h*le, how many fines have they had for health and safety breaches? Good riddance.......The off license is good though, go in there on a Saturday night and you may be under the impression the world is about to end.

Not in the English premiership but do ye remember Real Betis breaking the world transfer record for striker Denilson who got either none or one goal that season.

He now plays for the Dallas team in the MLS, managed by Norn Irons own Steve Morrow (of broken shoulder fame)

I dont think you can be too hard on some lads when they reach senior level, if some fella has aspirations of inter county football/hurling and has a family/young children something will ultimately give. There is a huge commitment involved and a lot of fellas, rightly, put their family first. I think we were all the same at 16, all you wanted to do was play, train etc and you think it will last forever but as you get older ultimately your priorities change, a fact of life.

Americans selling up is a option i like...
We defiantly backed the wrong horse when you see how well the Thai's money is going at Man City

Well i think the horse we should have backed was the DIC one, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. The americans were all being lauded when they arrived, what they havent done is stay well out of things and let Parry and the board get on with running the football club, in fairness the Glazers have done this.

Microsoft seeks patent for office 'spy' softwareAlexi Mostrous and David Brown
Microsoft is developing Big Brother-style software capable of remotely monitoring a worker's productivity, physical wellbeing and competence.

The Times has seen a patent application filed by the company for a computer system that links workers to their computers via wireless sensors that measure their metabolism. The system would allow managers to monitor employees' performance by measuring their heart rate, body temperature, movement, facial expression and blood pressure. Unions said they fear that employees could be dismissed on the basis of a computer's assessment of their physiological state.

Technology allowing constant monitoring of workers was previously limited to pilots, firefighters and Nasa astronauts. This is believed to be the first time a company has proposed developing such software for mainstream workplaces.

Microsoft submitted a patent application in the US for a "unique monitoring system" that could link workers to their computers. Wireless sensors could read "heart rate, galvanic skin response, EMG, brain signals, respiration rate, body temperature, movement facial movements, facial expressions and blood pressure", the application states.

The system could also "automatically detect frustration or stress in the user" and "offer and provide assistance accordingly". Physical changes to an employee would be matched to an individual psychological profile based on a worker's weight, age and health. If the system picked up an increase in heart rate or facial expressions suggestive of stress or frustration, it would tell management that he needed help.

The Information Commissioner, civil liberties groups and privacy lawyers strongly criticised the potential of the system for "taking the idea of monitoring people at work to a new level". Hugh Tomlinson, QC, an expert on data protection law at Matrix Chambers, told The Times: "This system involves intrusion into every single aspect of the lives of the employees. It raises very serious privacy issues."

Peter Skyte, a national officer for the union Unite, said: "This system takes the idea of monitoring people at work to a new level with a new level of invasiveness but in a very old-fashioned way because it monitors what is going in rather than the results." The Information Commissioner's Office said: "Imposing this level of intrusion on employees could only be justified in exceptional circumstances."

The US Patent Office confirmed last night that the application was published last month, 18 months after being filed. Patent lawyers said that it could be granted within a year.

Microsoft last night refused to comment on the application, but said: "We have over 7,000 patents worldwide and we are proud of the quality of these patents and the innovations they represent. As a general practice, we do not typically comment on pending patent applications because claims made in the application may be modified through the approval process."

Pretty certain winning the European Cup would. Hills go evens he will be manager on the last day, for me that is throwing money away.

Hicks and Gillets apparent Judas approach has turned alot of doubters back into the Pro Rafa chant, which was displayed at tonight's match.

The thing is if Rafa does get the boot and Liverpool get a big name in to replace him and Liverpool start well next season we will soon forget. Fans just want success, do we all remember the United fans protests against the Glazers not a million years ago, they have gone quiet in the last year........

One of Liverpool's best buys has been Sami Hyppia, under a million I think?

Was thinking that earlier but he has been there a season or two too long now.

I predicted 5-0 before the game, did not back it though. It was not a bad performance, what did we have 25 shots or so? Job done. Was always going to be two goals minimum. Can't take any real positives and certainly no negatives.

That will not be the strip, I could almost guarantee it.

Hicks talking to Klinsman may just have saved Rafa's job.

Im not sure anything would save his job at this point.

Was listening to the radio earlier and they were in and around Anfield asking locals did they back "Boss or board".....One cheeky chappie reckoned he backed the board and we needed a "local lad to do it, someone like John Aldridge".......The knowledgeable Kop indeed.

would that be the John Aldridge who was born and bred in Liverpool?

The point i would be making is would you want John Aldridge as Liverpool manager?, sure maybe we should give Mike Newell a crack at it if being local is the only pre-requisite.

Minder I see you have took a swipe at the IN and Paddy Heaney in two different threads, did they give you a bad player rating or something?  :)

Not at all, and i dont think i was too scathing. Just an honest opinion. I just think some journalists see themselves as more important than they actually are.

QuoteYour argument of having blinkers on is getting old change the record ffs
I'll stop when you stop. I know you can't see it, and I know you'll refuse to believe it, but your championing of Carragher over Ferdinand is entitled to the same respect as an Armagh fan championing Francie Bellew's cause over Darren Fay. In both cases one is a defender of class, elegance and athleticism that is rarely seen, and one is an honest stopper whose supporters admire him because he would die for his shirt. All other supporters would rather have the classy player in their team though.

Not if the classy player is a liabilty like Ferdinand is..I would rather have a Carra type player end of.............

Peckhams finest organises a better party though.....

Babb was about £3.5mill, him and John Scales came at the same time. Greatest all time signing for me has to be William Prunier & Kezman deserves a mention if he hasnt been already.
