Same team at the weekend? The team that started second half to start? Not sure what way they will go

Quote from: Jerome on May 28, 2024, 06:48:45 AMDoes anyone know Dooher/Logan's championship record our wins, draws and losses?
Bound to be close to more losses than wins?

Won 9
Drawn 1
Lost 7

Since All-Ireland win
Won 4
Drawn 1
Lost 7

That's not great reading.

Only wins in ulster are Fermanagh and Cavan

Both of them not exactly convincing.

Brings more to the table in terms of taking men on, breaking lines etc. than the current crop of wing backs/forwards that dooher employs - cullen, o'donnell, devlin etc. All seem to play backwards nearly.

Maybe I will be wrong but his pace will be hard to ignore in training this week. Seanie thankless task 2 weeks in a row and hopeful we will see something else next week

What was the thoughts on the HT subs?
Both Ben and rc quiet enough and Ruairi C hit a couple of wides. Both subs just returning from layoffs and performed like it as well. Not sure role on Michael Oneill as Donegal ran through us and not sure he is physical enough to do much about that.
Mattie Donnelly still the best player at breaking lines and the fact Tyrone haven't developed any other line breakers from last year is worrying as there are some surely within the county

Awful. Really poor. Some points

Heavily reliant still on Mattie Donnelly taking players on.
Some players in that side no chance on starting any other div 1 sides.
All the subs questionable especially the half time ones
Kennedy doing all the work at midfield
Bad wides at key moments

Oasis an easy band to criticise but how they delivered their music was normal to alot of people and connected. A lot of songs that bring back good and bad memories for many including myself. Different band members throughout the years but Oasis and their music would be nothing without the 2 brothers. Top band

Supersonic/bring it on down

Had to wait to get out of Ulster to show their footballing ability

Lachlan Murray one of a few at the pitch of it. McGuigan diving is ridiculous and doesn't need to do it. Galway not at their best and will improve once returning players get game time

Who's that? Heard mccloskey and Rodger's were doubts

Derry getting injuries that they've avoided for a couple of years. They need some back to beat Armagh

Quote from: Keyser soze on May 15, 2024, 01:53:39 PMNo version of Derry has ever beaten Galway in championship, you can be sure that will be a factor on saturday.

Janey, even Armagh has beaten Galway.

Derry wans trying their hand at the cute hoorism here? Sure Derry were in the big three talk with Dublin and Kerry not just a few weeks ago.

I would be more confident going to Kerry or Dublin and getting a result than I am about saturday due to our previous with Galway.

Out of those 3 Galway would be the 1 to choose on the road.  This history v Galway will have no baring at all on Sat. I'd say at most 2 Derry players played in 2015 and will be involved on Sat. Pretty much all of them beat Galway in Salthill in March.

They bate us out the gate 2 years ago in AI SF in CP when most of this team were playing.

And a league result in March will have no bearing esp as Galway had so many out injured at that time.

PS I sincerely hope you are right.

This was much more defensive orientated Derry team in their 2nd year of development. The better team in the first half, beat by 5 after gifting Galway 6 points. Mayo v Donegal in 2013,now that was a team beat out the gate.

Again, playing Galway in Salthill, with this version of Derry will have much less a baring on this game than a potential injury crisis

Derry got a last minute goal to make the scoreboard respectable

Not much in the game throughout but Derry had a 10 minute spell where if they had a couple of 2 footed forwards they could have got a lead. Plenty of talent on show and interesting to see who will kick on
