Ref was a joke today. At one stage a Dublin player got hit late by a Longford player, then carried off and ref gave the free to Longford as they had the ball when he got taken out.
About fcking time
Quite.

Its one thing refs f**king over Connolly, McCarthy, Cluxton etc. This was young lads trying to make a name for themselves and get a shot at playing in the league that they might never get again

Cmon D7. If Dessie 'KingDub' Farrell left lads on for more then 25 seconds then they could have impressed more.

Rossfan

RTÉ's report on the Longford Dublin game was like something from a Dublin local station rather than a (supposed) National broadcaster.

He only had 1 game to look at players. What's he supposed to do? If he had group games to try out players you wouldn't have had what happened today. Didn't help with all players cup tied with colleges.

Fair play to Declan Bonner and Donegal for pulling out. You can only hope the dinosaurs in charge of fixtures will take note next year.

Shamrock Shore

Why didn't Dublin enter Group stages like the rest of us with that panel?

Didn't get a choice. Ask Leinster Council

Thread on Twitter about some old Dublin guy going mad in the crowd and shouting about the Black and Tans then the ric. Guards called in apparently. Sounds like Dublin's version of mayo mick lol.

This may be the same fella I saw. He was in front of the press area. That poor man needs help. Started fisticuffs at the end with horrified Longford man who mistakenly laughed at him. He was shouting and roaring the whole game. Late 50s I'd say.

Why should Dublin get preferential treatment, again?

Because if the ref deemed it wasn't a free then thats the rule.

You might not think there's any problems with fixtures but there clearly is.

Dublin hurlers played tues, today and if they'd won today had to play again next weekend. Madness playing all these games over a short time. They'll play more games in Jan in cold weather on poor pitches than in July/Aug  when the weather is better and pitches at there best. Madness
