Yeah, expectations will be tempered for next season all right. Top 4 would be an excellent achievement for Slot or whoever the new man ends up being.

And Klopp, there will be a fist-bump statue at some point! 

Next season is definitely make or break for Nunez. He has so many excellent parts to his game, but he's mid-20s now and far too often he either makes the wrong choice (pass or shoot?) or he tries to put his foot through the ball instead of slipping or poking it beyond the reach of the keeper. If you could graft Fowler's finishing onto the rest of his talents, he'd be some player!

League is gone, but I really hope that with the pressure (relatively) off, the players (and fans) quickly get over the disappointment, pull together, and make the last few games a good send-off for Klopp.

People will start to get excited (or not  ) about the next man, but first they need to show Klopp the love!

I didn't see the Derry/Donegal match, but I am seriously impressed by any team allegedly out played who's best players were stymied but still managed 17 points. Goals win games but can be prevented. it was 15 scores to 17.

Derry were ten points down going into injury time and knocked over four points after that when the game was gone.

But yeah, the goals they conceded were ludicrous and it wont take a whole lot to prevent a repeat.

But was it a case of that unplanned meeting of Ron Nicole and OJ that sparked the madness?

Both could still be alive if Ron had not just 'turned' up and OJ could have just had words with her and left?

Or was he intent on killing her that night regardless?

According to the ESPN documentary, Goldman walked in as OJ was killing her or immediately after.

Been watching the ESPN 30 for 30 series "OJ: Made in America" on Netflix.

Recommend it, including for anyone who doesn't understand his acquittal in the murder of his wife and Ron Goldman. Goes into OJ's life, his refusal to align himself with other athletes in the civil rights struggle, and his pursuit of wealth and celebrity in white America as a non-threatening black man who transcended race. It also goes into the history of the LAPD, especially under the leadership of Darryl Gates, its terrible relationship with the black community and the various scandals that culminated in Rodney King, the subsequent riots, and three years later, OJ's acquittal. I hadn't realized (or I'd forgotten) but Detective Mark Fuhrman, the man who found the glove behind his house, took the fifth on the stand when asked under cross examination whether he had planted evidence in that very case! After 267 days of testimony and thousands of pieces of evidence, the jury took 3.5 hours to acquit him. Chickens (and Mark Furhman and a poor prosecution) coming home to roost...

As an aside, his wife was bad enough, but poor Ron Goldman. Just happened on the scene as he was returning a pair of glasses left behind earlier that evening in the restaurant where he was a waiter. A few minutes earlier, he would have handed them over and left before OJ got there. A few minutes later, OJ would have been gone and he'd have discovered Nicole's body.

I'd be very concerned about the state of Everton FC, historically a top club, if I was a fan of theirs. Other big clubs have fallen through the floor due to mismanagement.

Nothing against them myself. I hope they get straightened out.

I think they'd a few last day escapes in the interim, so not quite that high on their honour roll.

Deserved win for Everton. If they played like that every week they would be in the mix for European places.
Liverpool's form has really fallen off a cliff the last few weeks.
At least the new manager will have Champions League football for next season.

They've still created more than enough chances to win almost all those games though. I'd say the finishing has fallen off a cliff. Salah and Nunez in particular look hopelessly out of form.

It's a shame. It's going to peter out for Klopp.

Would you as a Liverpool fan have taken a trophy win,a top 4 finish and a  return to Champions League football and title challenge at the start of the season?

I suppose it would have been considered a decent season if Klopp hadn't announced he was leaving which only seems to have made everyone think only a quad or treble at the very least would be considered a success in his final season, certainly some other clubs would have been happy with what Liverpool will end the season with.

As a neutral I'll be sorry to see Klopp leave the league.

From where Liverpool were last May, of course I would have taken top 4, a trophy and a title challenge.

But you take it as it comes. A quad or treble was never realistically on, but Liverpool were in a really strong position a few weeks ago in the league, which is what fans REALLY care about. Now the last month of the season, once top 4 is sealed,  will simply be a case of fulfilling fixtures, and Klopp's farewell will be a lot hollower then it might have been had they at least taken it to the final weekend.

It's a shame. It's going to peter out for Klopp.

Salah has been terrible last few games.

Deserved lead for the the toffees at halftime.If Everton had put as much effort into the rest of the season they wouldn't be where they are   
Liverpool missing some great chances as has happened so many times in games this season.

Same old story. As shite as Liverpool were for half an hour, they really should be ahead in this match. Title chance blown through missed easy chances.

Tyrone and Donegal an interesting one, Donegal will surely not allow the Canavans and McCurry freedom of the park like Cavan did. And Donegal have better forwards than Cavan. Full credit to Cavan for dragging themselves back into that.

Can't see Tyrone getting near Donegal especially given extra time today.

Donegal will be shown to be not that great. They got 3 goals from a smart tactical move on kick outs. I don't think that will happen. I think Armagh would beat them should they meet in the final

I know Liverpool need to keep winning, just in case, but it's hard to feel optimistic after the past few weeks. Maybe if they beat Everton midweek, but it's hard to have any confidence that they will, despite that win today. By all accounts Salah and Nunez still looked off it when they came on.

Unfortunately didn't get to see the match in real time, but watched it back last night. Honestly could not believe what I was watching with Derry's goalkeeper shenanigans! Not blaming Lynch. He's been caught before, not least by Comer two years ago, and obviously this is a risk Harte felt was worth continuing to bear, but when you've been caught twice and you concede a third?? Absolute madness! Any hype in or about Donegal will have to be tempered by the fact that most other teams are not going to gift us those goal opportunities.

Great performance across the field though. You could see the belief balloon in that period before the first goal where we started to repeatedly turn Derry over AND make hay up front with McHugh and Mogan punching through the lines. Ryan's best performance this decade. Eoin Ban still to come back too to add more running and line breaking power. Caolan McGonigle is starting to bring back memories of Rambo Gavigan. He's like a bull when he gets moving. McCole did a good job on McGuigan again, although the system certainly helped. Brilliant work in midfield, and some finish from Jamie Brennan, whose biggest contribution to the county in the last few years had been coaching Abbey VS to the McLarnon and AI titles! And fair fucks to Daire O'Baoil - scored an even better goal against Cork in the league from further out.

Ulster wide open now, especially with only a week to prepare for Cavan or Tyrone. There'll be no four goals next week!
