St. Patrick's Day falls within the four days for the first time since the day War Of Attrition won the Gold Cup in '06. Should be some nights drinking down the town.

Just been studying the form and prices for the Long Walk Hurdle on Saturday and I think I've come across what is potentially the e/w bet of the season. I fully expect Big Bucks to win this but given that he is yet to race right-handed, he isn't for me at 1/2 here. Diamond Harry is the second favourite and Karabak is third in the market. Did my eyes deceive me at Cheltenham last year or did Karabak really finish ahead of Diamond Harry in the Ballymore? Yet I look at the prices for Saturday and Diamond Harry is as short as 5/2 and Karabak as big as 12/1. 

Surely 12/1 about Karabak is a cracking e/w bet. Fair Along, Whiteoak, Katchit, Lough Derg are all much of a muchness. Alan King's form has been a bit iffy but surely if Karabak runs anwhere near his best he won't be out of the first three.
