Donnellys Hollow

Don't get me wrong, she showed an incredible turn of foot to win from where she was turning in. It was far from a vintage renewal of the Classic though. Rip Van Winkle was stuffed but Ballydoyle are always going to hinder the chances of their horses in America if they don't run them with lasix or bute - no surprise that both Goldikova and Conduit were both on medication.

Twice Over has some good form ('08 Craven & '09 Champion Stakes) but he's far from the best in Europe. New Approach laughed at him last year and he didn't get within an asses roar of Sea The Stars in the Eclipse. Had he ran in the Arc he'd have been 20/1+. Zenyatta will retire with a flawless record but she wouldn't have got within two lengths of Sea The Stars had he ran. Oxx and especially Tsui must be kicking themselves. A Breeders Cup Classic would have put an extra fifty grand on his stud fee.
There's Seán Brady going in, what dya think Seán?

11/10 to jump round. Christmas came early there.  :o

He'll give Master Minded a race if he can hold his jumping together.

Catch Me and Osana should be a good double. Both class animals over hurdles who are miles better than their opposition today.

Horrible fall alright.Any word on how the animal is??

Donnellys Hollow

He got up after a few minutes and walked away.

The way he sprawled on landing can do terrible damage to a horse. Beef Or Salmon pulled all the muscles in his back when he had a similar fall. Timmy Murphy said he was never the same horse afterwards.

Sea The Stars

They went a fairly moderate pace last night, 24 1/5 for the first two furlongs is a crawl up the straight! For Zenyatta to come from she did was a rare sight, you'd have expected the horses in front to have kept going but she picked them easy enough. Obviously, the absense of Quality Road lessened her task considerably and the proximity of turf specialist Gio Ponti and Twice Over leaves doubts over the form.

I'd imagine Rachel Alexandra on dirt and Zenyatta on Pro-Ride were the two ever to meet. Comparing either with Sea The Stars is a pointless exercise! He did it all.

Treasurer

Happy days with a Noel Meade treble, although I didn't even see Oscar Looby crossing the line with the fright of looking at poor old Catch Me!

Family guy

Watched the racing yesterday here on the us channel, and that fella john mc crickard (not sure of the spelling) but you know that fella with the crazy sideburns, anyway he came on think he was loaded drunk, starts shouting zenyata will not win and the same for conduit, was funny as the american fella took it thick and said maybe rip van winkle will waken up in time for the race

Sure half the fun of the game is comparing horses across continents/generations.

Is Rachel Alexandra going to race on as a 4yo? Zenyatta is off to the breeding shed. She should produce a nice National Hunt prospect given the size of her! Pity we'll never see them take each other on.
