Lovely set up.. Just one observation we noticed from the terrace side.. The top of the commentary box is way off level with the roof.. Looks a bit odd.. Must have been some hungover levelling done that day!!

Supposedly when they put the stand up the last bits that went up were in the middle and when it went up it bowed, so it was left as such.

Hurling Discussion / Ulster Minor Hurling Championship

Congratulations to cushendall on winning UMHC today against portaferry

a superb performance from their midfield pair with three goals inside the opening 8 minutes helped them on their way.

Dissapointing to see Portaferry full back playing a full game (and the s/finals) with no left knee - wrong by management - i wouldnt be happy seeing any players i coach do that.

Agree with pearseog about Paul Duffy. Hopefully he gets his chance and improves on last year.

GAA Discussion / Re: O'Neills rip-off
December 09, 2010, 01:53:57 PM
ONeills - yes they are a rip off to some extent

We, cuchulainns, tried using a different, new company this year to supply t-shirts for u12 squad which we give to them before they play an annual tournament every year.
We have used oneills in the past no of years and 6weeks before we needed them we ordered them, they came no problem before the boys had their weekend away.

As mentioned we used a different company, which fitted the boys in late May just to make sure they were ready in time for August 21st.
They asked for payment in 1st week of July so they could release the tshirts to us.
In August numerous weekly/daily/hourly phonecalls were made to find out where the tshirts were. Answer was, coming in a lorry from China and will be with us before we go away.
The day before the boys went away (20th Aug) a box of 30 tshirts were delivered in all adult sizes - XL and XXL not as per ordered.
Rang oneills in strabane at 3pm on the 20th and asked if they had any bulk stock that they could sell us that day, although there was no crest on them, they had enough stock to do an order for us.

So they may be a bit of a rip off, but we're going back to oneills next year - better the devil you know etc

Armagh / Your Club Review
November 16, 2010, 05:57:28 PM
As title suggests, your own opinion on your club (hurling and footballl) from this year and your hopes for your club for next year.

Club Name:
Armagh Cuchulainns
League Division Status:
Mid to top of Div 1 Hurling league
Champioship Run:
Beaten finalists
2010 Review:
Seniors reached final for first time since 2005. Beaten but the knock on the door is getting louder every year - might eventually go through!
Competed in every underage champioship final except for u14 but gave the eventual winners toughest game of their c'ship.
Beaten in U18 and U12 but crowned U16 winners.

Hopes for 2011:
Championship success for senior side
Continued development of underage hurling structures
Reinstate championship competition for u12 players.

spirit does that mean the county final was a flash in the pan as keady would have tanked c,more im sure. big set back or a one off?
I think since the county final the heart just wasn't in it for the boys but in saying that i didn't expect to see them beat by 14points

A mixture of a few small problems added to the performance, missing goalkeeper and a couple of players played that werent fit but just a bad ten minutes saw carrickmore take the game, would agree with spirits assessment.

Good luck to Keady and Carrickmore in their respective finals.

Not me I'm  talking about but sitting in a lecture beside someone eating tayto cheese & onion and drinking coffee. The smell is f**king horrendous.
