Fermanagh injury time goal and they win by a point!

talk about bad luck for the rossies

Well after years of blaming the managers I suppose bad luck deserves a mention.

typical mayo man response, thanks to your tanned one & others where in a fine mess right now

Tommy Carr, John Maughan, Bad Luck.......who were the others?

well you named Carr already (bad luck tonight) so much that goal could get us relegated now

How can you possibly blame Maughan?

He got you into Division 2 at one stage.

In hindsight that was feckin miraculous.

he did indeed get us into div 2 but not long before that we were a div 1 team!

from what i remember Maughan lost every Championship game in his time here (apart from that one point win over london)

Maughan never gave 100% to the job at hand & i'm sure the Fermanagh boys knows what i'm taking about?

Right, but when you were last in Division 1 didn't you still have the backbone of your 2001 Connacht Championship/League semi-final team?

If Maughan was still in charge i genuinely think he'd make you difficult to beat at Division 3 level and would keep you up. I don't think Fergie's young guns will stay up and I don't think the constant beatings are doing them any favours.

But as I said on the Division 3 thread, it's probably not the end of the world that you're making it out to be. Div 4 didn't do Sligo any harm last year.

i suppose the others would be where we rossies get all excited by the success of our neighbours Mayo only to be heartbroken in the end

Time will tell ? but Sligo have never used the League as a platform for the championship yet the rossies form in the league always carries through
