Same in South Derry - you had to buy your own (expensive) aerial as the Unionist controlled Magherafelt District Council wouldn't allow a mast to facilitate reception of RTÉ.  Many bought the RTÉ aerial so that we could connect with our fellow Irish people.  RTÉ has repaid that loyality by making Irish people in the 6 county part of the island of Ireland second-class Irish citizens.  They have achieved what the Council couldn't!!

How are the TV licences going now for RTPÉ?!!

Is the passport not good enough for you?

Iarrann Aire Gnóthaí Eachtracha agus Trádála na hÉireann ar gach n-aon lena mbaineann ligean dá shealbhóir seo, saoránach d'Éirinn, gabháil ar aghaidh gan bhac gan chosc agus gach cúnamh agus caomhnú is gá a thabhairt don sealbhóir.

In English:

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland requests all whom it may concern to allow the bearer, a citizen of Ireland, to pass freely and without hindrance and to afford the bearer all necessary assistance and protection.

Would you prefer a British passport? Or are the competitions more important?
e coe competitions more important?

What mast? Do you mean some sort of communal aerial, RTÉ was not broadcast in the 6 counties until after 1998 and then it used the same transmitters as the BBC etc.

The last time they checked nobody complaining in the 6 counties had paid one to them.
Have heard all that shit before. As regard the RTÉ reception in the 1970s, an RTÉ mast could have been facilitated but was turned down by Magherafelt Council. Check your facts.

Tá mé sásta go maith le mo phas Éireannach. Foireann as na sé chontae i gcluiche ceannais peile na hÉireann is ní thig lena muintir cur isteach ar chomórtas na dticéad? Tú compordach leis sin?

He showed more wit and charisma in that first 5 minutes than the previous tube did in however long he done the gig for.

He'll be limited by the calibre of guests that RTE can get for him. Hopefully they can pull out all the stops for him.

There was no mast in any area in the north ya lunatic.
The masts were in Dublin and Athlone and if you happened to have an aerial , you could pick up rte in south Derry.
