I'm getting married later in the year and we're attending a pre-wedding course which is being ran by accord.  It's ran over Friday evening and Saturday.

What can I expect at this?  I understand the topics are co-ordinated by lay-people. 

Has anyone ever organised one of these?

I'd like to organise one for a few work-mates (10-14 people).  One of the girls at work has very kindly offered to host it in her house but I'd probably like to have it in a venue if possible so as to not put her out - cost permitting!!  I've seen some packs online as well which you can buy for hosting at home and they look pretty good.

If anyone has any advice for this then it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i have a site with full planning permission for a storey and a half dwelling.  The planning permission was obtained years ago and the foundations were dug.  However, now it comes to actually building the house and I would like to make it a little bigger.

So, basically I have two questions:
1) are councils strict on planning permission at the moment? I.e. what is the likelihood of the extension being approved?
2) is there much work involved in amending the current foundations to allow for the slight alteration?
