only getting to post my thoughts on the weekend now was offline for a few days..... will hopefully be offline longer after sunday when the fianna finish the job.

i knew it would be a close game unlike some of the jokers on here.  glad at least the fianna showed they are most certainly up there with the best of the teams in the county ... something that seems lost on a lot of people.  one joker thought the fianna squad wasnt strong which is mental and shows they nothing sweet f$%k all.

pity we couldnt do it on sunday infront of the the rahilly guests of honor ..... sporting beautiful new shiny jackets may i add.  took it from the cashidy fund i heard after he left for good last week.... ah well 100 years and all that maybe they can get young doris to lead them for 125 years ..... he'll be well warmed up by then ;)

Pure drivel ::)

This fella is one of those fianna 'supporters' who appear when the get to the latter stages of the championship but wouldn't darken the door for league games. Instead he is found in the central or canal end watching man united on the TV instead. When there's a run put together in the championship he dusts off that hoody he got when he played a game for the u16s and what you get is 'local expert'.

Is the Fianna paying there management?

Yes.
If we win the cup we will also be willing to rent it to you for your Gala. I hear Kevin McCabe pays well. Even heard a whisper he was going to pay the players to bring home the big one!

Lol

...If you play the way you did last sunday you will not be far away...Out off 100 years the cupboard was empty a good few times..dont think we will close done...Every club in the same boat...

Custard the auld bollix should be at home caring for his wife . Leave the "welcoming" to thon eegit Jordan who seems to have elocution lessons in the past year as she can now string five words together without getting into a raspberry (ruffle)!

Caring for his wife? On reflection, do you really think that's an appropriate thing to post?

Not a fan of Custard either but he as a man has devoted a full life to Gaa...Them comments are a wee bit disrespectful IMO...

I see Clonoe honouring Joe McCabe in the next week or two by running a This is your Life night for him another man who has devoted his life to the Gaa..These type of men are the cornerstone of any Gaa club...

Coalisland team in 2007 most were u21 that year and ended up wining u21 championships in 07 & 08 playing aginst a seasoned dromore team who had been knocking on the door for a few years.  Obviously beating carrickmore in 2010 is a bigger indication of the team when nobody gave them a chance.  The experience of 2007 should ensure it won't happen them on Sunday.  So overall most of the fianna players know what it takes to win a championship and what it's like to lose one so the greater experience should stand to them. Add in the youngsters such as hampsey and mckernan (who roasted pj lavery over 2 games) who haven't won one, Coalisland shouldn't be too far away.

I could be wrong, but coalisland where the Bookies favourite going into this final.  A game i feel Carrickmore lost along the line.  But thats all history now.

Better team definitely won that day.   What's you excuses for the last 10 years of failure ;)

I think we have won as many senior trophies as coalisland in the past 10 years. In fact we have been more successful than coalisland in winning trophies since 2010. Whats your excuse for failure on pushing on since 2010 considering most of that time is still playing? Drink, Drugs and gambling? Or maybe all 3?
Whoa there horse !!!

Jesus asking if coalisland hadn't won anything since 2010 because of drugs is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read.  If you're asking that about coalisland why haven't carrickmore won a championship since 2005? By More successful  I assume you are talking about league titles which although nice to win don't mean a lot.  But if you think it does coalisland won 15 out if 15 league games in 2012 which doesn't often happen.

So far it's all opinion but the one fact we can take away from this is that since the tyrone championship became ultra ultra competitive with numerous teams capable of winning it over the last 10 years carrickmore haven't had the cajones to bring home the bacon.  Thee golden years have reached its winter and there will be no spring again for a long time.  Paddy o'neill won a fortune betting on carmen not winning for 10 years.  I heard he went double or quits.... talk about printing money.....

Doubt I hit a nerve. 😂 The reason the Tyrone championship has got ultra ultra competitive is because the standard of football in Tyrone has dropped. Not because all the teams have come up to the same level. TBH I think and I hope coalisland win on Sunday and if they do paddy o Neil will be down a fortune as all his money is on killyclogher. He mustn't think much of coalisland either then.

No nerve hit with me I'm drug free bar the copious amounts of caffeine I ingest.  Think questioning if a group of lads are on drugs is a slight defamation of character.  Aye he's full of the brown stuff anyway so hopefully he's wrong about Sunday but right about carrickmore  ;)

Isn't that ironic, considering the amount of defamatory comments you have posted here on your short time on the board, and the mods more than happy to allow you to continue. Reading your posts you are quite the gob shite.

Some times i wish there was a like button on this forum!

I heard cassidy was staying at clonoe for one more year

I also heard that he was asked to confirm that he is staying the week after the Omagh draw...and he indicated he was staying but it is not 100% confirmed yet... I would presume most outside managers have a figure for the year not per session...

On a side note I have noticed that all of Coalislands east tyrone neighbours have wished them all the best on social media for the game on Sunday so I was wondering will clonoe do the same   ::)

Hastag just asking....

your bashing of Clonoe is relentless...Should not be in bed on a school night you are behaving like a baby.....Would you wish them luck?

How many island players on Sunday started in 2007 final? Dromore blew them away that day but nearly same team now

I would guess J Curran,P Toner,Peter Donnelly,B Toner,P Kane, AND Possibly L O'Neill and McNally....The occasion beat Coalisland that day,that didn't happen in 2010 when they had to dig out a win v Carrickmore...

Add Niall Kerr Gerard Toner and Conor Bayne from what was used last sunday...

I think Coalisland put everything they had into the 2 games against Clonoe, wont be easy getting the intensity back up to that level. I guess Killyclogher will have an easy day and run out winners by 4-5 points

Ha, not too many championships I can mind were won as easy as your prediction

Coalisland for me, just think they have the extra power and when they match Killycloghers pace I think they will edge it. How Steven Mc Nally was let was go from the county panel is a mystery. Absolutely great player

I would fear your theory on Coalisland put everything into the win over Clonoe, at the whistle you would have thought they had won the Championship on their celebrations

To GaeltheGael - You mentioned Rhyss Quinn from Clonoe. If it's the same player I'm thinking of are you having a laugh?? I'm nearly sure he didn't play either Omagh game or v Carrickmore. Against Coalisland he looked seriously out of his depth and like a headless chicken, constantly fouling

I think he played v Omagh 1st for how long I would guess 10minutes or so....I heard he picked up a knock in training then played last week where I thought he was ok... Still only 19 or so I would not write him off yet....but you are entitled to your opinion...

Not sure Island are paying all 3 members of the background team but I know collectively, it does not even get near the £15/20k mark. Would be surprised if it hit 10k.

In other news, heard from a Clonoe man yesterday evening saying, Cassidy is gone and Clonoe will not be fulfilling their fixtures.
This may be rubbish but I slept like a log last night dreaming that Fianna put the final nail in the coffin!

Killyclogher should be giving you sleepless nights at the minute, don't you worry about Clonoe, we will be back stronger next year as always no matter who is in charge. Only one thing worse than a sore loser and that's someone who cannot win be a bit of grace and dignity.

Yip we'll be back stronger for sure with Colm Doris fully recovered from his knee injury, Ryan T O Neill from his shoulder injury and a fully fit Stephen Mc Nulty (played about 2 full games this season) to compliment the development this year of so many of our younger players. That's some quality to add.

Rumour has it Colm Donnelly is returning next year to live in Ireland so a return for Clonoe is possible ...No group of players go on for ever,Connor Hughes Rhyss Quinn and Darrly Magee have made decent strides in championship football this year...So its  not all bad for Clonoe....Dwayne Quinn returning to top form may be another key to moving forward he has been of the boil for a while and seems to be struggling for fitness....

On to sundays game I can see a very tight affair Coalisland will have the luxury of possibly moving Hampey to mark T McCann prob McKernan to Mark Bradley and these 2 encounters may well decide the outcome of the O'Neill cup cant wait to see what happens...
Be surprised if McNally doesnt pick up McCann and Hampsey onto Bradley.

Hampsey marked McCann in the league game and done a job on him...You could be right though, leaving hampsey full back if Killycloghers full forward line is the same as the semi final would be a waste of a player of his ability in my opinion...They will have better use for him out the field in this game..

The payment of managers is against what the gaa stands for but it was impossible to prevent and is going to continue. Best you can do is inform clubs trying  to sell tickets or fund raise that you won't be paying for their manager. Are there any clubs left in Tyrone who have never paid an outsider to manage their club?

Trillick I know have never had (nor paid) an outside manager. I'm sure there are other clubs also.

Is Nigel Seaney not from Irvinstown??

Have seen some posts on here from Sunday taking unfair swipes at Clonoe....Damian Cassidy may well be away at the end of the season who knows he will be replaced by another outsider I presume...most clubs if not all have paid outside managers some have worked some have not...Clonoe I suppose have had one of their best spells ever from2008 wining 2 senior championships 2 senior leagues 3 reserve championships an under 21 tyrone and Ulster double...So maybe a bit of jealously creeping in with some posters on here...for the allegation that they wont field in their last 2 league games is absolutely not correct!! They will play of course and honour the fixtures....
