Champions of the Confederations! World Cup Champions and Hosts I presume!
Australia beat 3-2 by a second string German team. And the Aussie coach stated he thought they could win this tournament. Sweet mother of divine miracles.
:o
Penalties coming up between Portugal and Chile.
Portugal miss all their penalties!! Chile through 3-0.

Poor penalties.
Ronaldo should be stepping up to take the first one if he's the main man. No good waiting for the 5th in the hope of scoring the winner. I'd imagine it's very rare to come from behind to win in a shoot-out.

Good saves. The worst penalty was the chile 2nd penalty, he scuffed it down the middle and was lucky the keeper had dived out of the way.

It did in the CL final, a much more important game in fairness, but I'd always want my best penalty taker going first.

Happened against Spain in Euro 2012 semifinal as well, no?
Is that Chile through to the final? Or what stage is it at?

Right you are. I had to look it up. I thought I was making a great point but apparently lots of people all over the world made it about 5 years ago.
The video ref hasn't exactly been a resounding success has it ;D
You can never write off the germans!!! U21 euro champions and now their b team win the confederations cup. Some pool of talent.
Good to see the real ronaldo and maradona on the trophy presentation podium, 2 of the greatest.

Cristiano has well surpassed "the real" Ronaldo in my view, but Diego is still my favourite.
