Tomas Mulcahy has just tweeted that he isn't dead yet and is "holding on"
Sincerely hope that is true.
Hope so also, Keady , Finnerty and McInereny were one of the all time great half back lines

He is still with us!  Has a big fight on his hands but is battling on

seafoid

I think his father died of a heart attack at a young age around the time of one of the all Irelands in 87 or 88

Great player with so much heart, hard to take in when so young! Remember that great team coming to Casement in the league the season after winning the All Ireland, they were mobbed after the match!
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Hope he pulls through, horse of a man and along with Finnerty and McInerney were one of the half back lines that history will remember for long and manys a day.

Still fighting. Pretty disgusting that different outlets had him dead.

Des Cahill broke it as far as I could see

Sadly confirmed this morning that Tony Keady has died. RIP

AZOffaly

I saw that. RIP. A strong, strong man. Sympathies to his family and all in Galway GAA and Killimordaly.

Owen Brannigan

Glen Campbell and his family made an excellent film, 'I'll be me', about his farewell tour.  While it does celebrate the music of the great man, it is a very good film about Alzheimers and its devastating effects on the person and his/her family.  It has been shown a number of times on Sky Arts and will probably come to the fore again at this time.  Take the opportunity to view this film.

RIP Tony Keady.  Galway Legend.  Sympathies to all the family in Oranmore and his home parish of Killimordaly.

Anybody who still feels the need to donate to the fundraising campaign can still do so at.

Anyone know what happens to fund raising monies collected like this. Can is simply be trousered or does every penny need to be passed onto a registered charity?

They are setting up a foundation with the £1.3m that was raised

Older Mexicans familiar with Halls Pictorial Weekly will remember Cha and Mia

Well, Cha (Michael Twomey 83) has died. I think Mia is still on the Bench on De Banks.
