He is still with us!  Has a big fight on his hands but is battling on

I think his father died of a heart attack at a young age around the time of one of the all Irelands in 87 or 88

Great player with so much heart, hard to take in when so young! Remember that great team coming to Casement in the league the season after winning the All Ireland, they were mobbed after the match!

I saw that. RIP. A strong, strong man. Sympathies to his family and all in Galway GAA and Killimordaly.

Glen Campbell and his family made an excellent film, 'I'll be me', about his farewell tour.  While it does celebrate the music of the great man, it is a very good film about Alzheimers and its devastating effects on the person and his/her family.  It has been shown a number of times on Sky Arts and will probably come to the fore again at this time.  Take the opportunity to view this film.
