agree that it is crucial to win on sunday, who will he rest.  i would have thought rooney and ronaldo would be in line for a rest, given they have played so much football lately but at the same time both are crucial to utd for wednesday night.

shocking miss

Good result against the blades, two fine goals by rooney and how ronaldo didn't get at the very least a goal is beyond me though he seemed to have a decent game again (going by highlights)

big week for manchester united, celtic away, need the point to go through.  will he rest anyone with chelski in wait.

The appeal to ulster council must have been unsuccessful, the dunloy lads don't seem to be training anymore.  dissapointing after a terrific win over lamh dearg to not even get a shot at the match.  Obviously someone in dunloy made this call but it wasn't the players but its them thats being punished.  as are st galls,

alan kerins is surely the player to play in both club and county hurling and football finals

i'm thinking brian welehan for the man of match in 4 consectutive finals, 3 clubs 1 county.  no sure of my dates though.

i wouldn't be too surprised guillem2 if the dall do put one over loughrea (i take it they beat athleague yesterday).  Loughrea have never been to a all ireland semi final before, training through the winter and preparing for a match in february isn't as easy as preparing for summer hurling.  Most of this cushedendall team have done it before and ran St josephs doora barefield very close.

Loughrea don't look to be the best team ever to come out of connaught, certainly if reports they had to bully portumna out of it are to be believed.  cushendall will have more experience and should match them for fire in the belly.  I think it'll be a tight game with possibly a small shock

County: Antrim
Club: Dunloy - as was my name on the old board
best memory: beating the shamrocks in county final
