Looking forward to an Autumn/Winter of County finals once again. Fair play to TG4 for their coverage of these games.

It's not out of any goodness of the heart that TG4 are showing these games - TG4's viewership numbers without the GAA coverage would look abysmal.
These were the top 10 programs on TG4 for August from TAM Ireland

Top 10 August 2016

1) GAA BEO 2015 - 2016

2) GAA BEO 2015 - 2016 - 79 Mionúir - Cluiche Leath C

3) Fleadh TV 2016

4) Peil na mBan Beo 2016

5) The Foster & Allen Show 2

6) NUACHT TG4 2016

7) From Paris With Love

8) Fastest Gun Alive

9) Seachtain na Rásaí

10) The Run of the Country

The fact that Fastest Gun Alive - A western from 1954 was the 8th most popular programme says volumes.

This isn't a once off - The GAA coverage is consistently the most popular stuff broadcast and when you get down to the bottom half of the top 10  there's usually a couple woeful utter bottom of the barrel films. You have to wonder how few viewers TG4 really have if this sort of stuff is making the top 10.

As only about 3% of the population (of the 26) speak Gaeilge.....
Anyway I watch it most of the time but not for Westerns though.

A load of bollocks.

Killyclogher and Slaughtneil should be the live game.

I think you're absolutely right.

TG4 choosing to screen a match between last year's finalists and the previous years's champions shows a tasteless lack of concern for Destro's needs. The selfish bastards.

And ignoring the 40,000 people in the Tymoanie Gaeltacht.
