So what exactly has North Korea done to make it the pariah of the free world?

It doesn't lick the US's arse.
I see Kim Il Trump is congratulating Erdogan for winning a referendum to become another dictator.

It has an appalling record on human rights and forgot to apply to the United States for an exemption.

Well based on all the posts on here lately about the wars so do most countries!

The United States government has always been the biggest terrorists in the planet if you're to go by civilian deaths.

6 million Jews at the hands of the nazis is going to be hard to beat I'd say
Vietnam could be up to half a million including the effects of Agent Orange
Hiroshima and Nagasaki including the nuclear related cancers would be another half a million
The Genocide of the native Americans could be 2 million
Throw in the slaves for another half a million
Vet suicides are off the charts

You could probably get closer to 6 million by adding in Korea, Iraq etc

Your not even close! The nazis killed a lot more than Jews, we are talking about one campaign, had the Nazis won the war I'm sure that would have exceeded further...

The Balkan war not mention, the Russians many atrocities throughout a history longer than America would be a lot worse no? And not to mention The European involvement in Africa....

Vet suicides would be the same for most armies involved in conflict.... Have you exact numbers on all of this or do you just suit yourself with the quoting?

I think 19 million Soviets died so the Nazis would have been responsible for a lot of those.

Are you on drugs??? The ruling dictator and his family starve their own people and stick over 90% of their resources into the military, none of this has anything to do with the USA!

The Chinese need to cool Uns heels and I believe they will before they let him unload on the US, if he does attack the US he will, along with his country, be left with a hole in the ground, he has been trying to hit US soil for decades, well his and his thankfully dead predecessor!

You American haters are dipshits!

Just back from a trip to Berlin, got to see a lot of memorials and museums. I wish people would stop using the Nazi comparison as function of numbers killed. Berliners and Germans in general see the Holocaust as the nadir of the human race because of the intent involved. So whilst you can be completely horrified by what took place in Rwanda, for example, and the intention of one tribe to wipe out another, in the context of the Rwandan Civil war, it is explainable. Horrific, but explainable.

What is not so easily explainable is the creation of an entire bureaucracy dedicated to the most efficient methods of removing a race from the globe. Carried out by middling civil servants, exactly the same as the people sitting across the train from you of a morning now.

In Sachsenhausen concentration camp, there are still the foundations of a room where over 13,000 Soviet POWs were taken, Jew and Gentile, told that they were receiving medical examinations and were then shot in the back of the head by a pistol inset into the exam chair. Classical music was played so as not to alert the next prisoner awaiting examination. There are and were suburban houses just outside the walls of the camp.

There is a concrete running track still there. Prisoners were used to test boots for the Wehrmacht. They were loaded with stones so as to approximate the weight of an infantryman's pack and given boots of every size. They were marched around and around that track for 8 hours each day. When they couldn't walk anymore they were shot.

And Sachsenhausen was not a death camp.

The Nazis, for their cruelty, efficiency and bizarrely scientific approach to murder remain the ne plus ultra of 20th century evil.

All that said, it doesn't remove our responsibility to watch for the signs that any regime are going the same way in our day and age. Which could happen in the United States as easily as it does anywhere else.

Jasus but the Yanks certainly removed all you critical faculties especially that great Irish trait of seeing through bullshit.
Of course the Kims are a bunch of despots but so are the Saudis, Bahraini and many more allies of the US.
But that's OK.
The Yanks only problem with North Korea is that NK isn't an ally of the US.
And can you ever post without foul mouthing??

Maybe the Nazis were more imaginative. Stalin was responsible for the deaths of millions in the 1930s. Famine isnt as groovy as classical music.

Mass Killers
Mao and Stalin manage to surpass Hitler.
However Leopold of Belgium killed a lot with fewest resources.

So we are in agreement that the US isn't even close to the top ten of nations/dictatorships/movements that amassed millions of deaths?

Trump is quite clearly more dangerous than Kim Jong Un.

Since World War II the US has a proven record of starting wars, invading countries, launching coups and fomenting unrest around the world.

North Korea, not so much.

Also, only one country has used nuclear weapons.

Some people think Kim Jong Un might be unstable and attack another country, based on precious little evidence.

A lot less evidence than we have that Trump is unstable and will attack another country.
