There have been 9 more Covid-19 deaths in the 6 counties, including one person aged under 19.
840 new cases were also reported today, resulting from tests on 3,722 individuals, which is 22.5% positivity which isn't great.

yet again the 26 counties has less cases, 676, than the wee 6.
Lowest daily case number in the ROI since October 9th. Seven day average has fallen now for 4 days in a row.
Yet more evidence, as if it was needed, that lockdowns work

I'm just coming out of (apparently) one of the harshest lockdowns globally. Definitely worked

Lockdown, Curfews, Restricted movements, these things all work in reducing the spread of the virus.

I feel he is one of the few that can (will) make a genuine impact at football once he returns. A skillful player, who hasn't been overly hampered with injuries - he was out with a fractured hand earlier this year, but none of the soft tissue / joint problems that cause recurring issues

Agreed, fine footballer and think he will make a big impact on his return. Certainly none of the Tommy Walsh type of injuries. Will selfishly miss seeing him play down here

Is that the real Tim O'Leary on twitter tweeting about Mayo GAA buying curtains and fun sized bananas with his money/donation or is it a parody account?

If the Queen is in fact dead and it was leaked on Twitter by someone called Gibbo, that'd be class.

Now we have former players in the media claiming the County Board aren't paying their bills.

The incompetence of the current Board led by Gombeens needs action. Start with Connelly and ensure that family are kept outside for years to come

Do we have a rough number of how many 'influential backers' like this guy are supporting Mayo?

When we socialise all the counties incomes will monies like this be included?

How does somebody 'socialise ' income. ?

Fair f**ks to Ballina tonight. Didn't see it but beating Breaffy aet by 5. Hope we can do the same tomorrow against the Mitchels!

I hope ye can too.

Sweet win for Ballina. Especially considering what happened last year.

Yep - good enough for the arrogant pricks

In fairness I doubt that call is reflective of Breaffy. I think I know who made it and of course it was incredibly poor judgement. Ballina should have been about winning that game today anyway and I don t think that shite like that had any bearing on things. At least I hope not.

Fair enough

I might be wrong, however I took from the tone of the question from Brannigan was that he's trying trying to elicit whether or not Mayo people valued an enigmatic genius over a more functional player (of undoubted quality) with an amazing work ethic and spectacular attitude.

Mac was a spectacularly gifted player, however he spent time unavailable to Mayo for various reasons. Andy Moran would have been sub-keeper if that was what was asked of him.

Did you ever see Padraig Brogan play in his prime?

Yes

The question is, how does Andy Moran compare with Ciaran McDonnell?

In terms off what....
Football style?
haircut?
Football Ability?
Fan adorability?
Personality?
Attitude?

Where do Mayo people rank these football greats?

I'd take Andy every day of the week

Saw that stats on Twitter earlier, however can't find that post again. McIlRoy was statistically ahead of everyone in all the key facets of the game over the entire season, so deserves the title

With Portrush still be in 'Britain' in 10 years time, or will the Open be up there with the iPlayer in the final settlement?

More emphasis these days seems to be on the open rather than british open so dont see why not even after a UI. Sure there was even talk of having the US PGA at Portrush at one point
Harrington was saying the other day that the Open could feasibly be in Portmarnock (for example) as they are under the auspices of the R&A.

Did they resolve their 'issue' with allowing females in the door?

Proper oddmark behaviour.

Celebrating an Irish player winning a major by using it as an opportunity to have a pop at  other Irish players who've won majors.

I just can't comprehend this.

Has anyone mentioned Rory McIlroy yet?

Whilst he may have whisked himself off home to Florida, I thought he would have tweeted congratulations to his fellow Irishman.

He did post on social media, thought it was a nice touch too
