Stallion you don't rate Klopp and that is your choice but how do you square that against the fact that the squad is 16 points better of than last year and 4 positions better off, with a chance to make the group stages of the CL, all with a squad savaged by injuries and absenteeism of key players? On what basis do you make the argument that he is incompetent inspite of the obvious improvement on last season?

The Stallion

Of course they improved, he finished 8th in the previous season! He should have been sacked that season. Any idiot could improve on 8th with that squad.

He finished 8th with an inherited squad. He purchased 3 new players and that inherited squad got better. If he buys 3-4 more players of similar calibre will the squad improve at the same rate?

I knoww this is bookies just trying to generate some turnover, but of interest nonetheless.

Odds on players to join Liverpool:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 8/11
Aaron Ramsey 8/1
Kylian Mbappe 8/1 (Real Madrid favs at 2/1)
Virgil van Dijk 6/4 (same odds as Chelsea)
Andrew Robertson (Hull left back) 8/13
Ryan Bertrand 5/1 (Manchester City favs at 4/6)
Demarai Gray 100/30
Charlie Taylor 7/2
Michael Keane 4/1
William Carvalho 5/1
Jordan Pickford 6/1
Moussa Dembele 8/1
Marco Reus 8/1
Joe Hart  8/1
Daniel Sturridge to stay 5/4 (West Ham 5/2 to sign him)

I'd be very surprised if Mbappe wanted to join Liverpool.  I imagine he could move to a much better team.

I'd take Ramsey if the price was right.

If the chat of Van Dijk costing 40 or 50 million is true they shouldn't even consider it.

Bertrand would definitely improve the side.

Reus is massively overrated and no doubt massively overpriced.

Hart is just shite.

No harm , but it's time to let the horse run free......!!

The Stallion

There seems to be a bizarre situation where half of the posters in here obsess over trying to get others to ignore me and the other half obsess over insulting or lying about me.

Seems to be very little appetite for attempting to debate or discuss the problems at my beloved Liverpool. Strange.

Then debate...i believe that the current squad is quite good up to about 15 players. The starting team in the final game with Henderson, Mane and some of the subs like Karius, Origi and Lucas. I believe with the addition of 4 new players in hopefully Van Djik,  Sessognon(sp) and a forward like Timo Verner that the squad will be strong to push on. There would also be good young players and the likes of Ings to return as squad players. The likes of Sakho, Markovic, Moreno, Stewart and a few others will be sold. I believe Klopp is the man to improve the squad and challenge for titles in England and Europe given his track record before and his work to date in improving the squad. What do you think of that?
