Colm Hulton who got the winning goal for Carlow played Dublin minors in 2015.

Roche used to play full forward for club Cooraclare.

Chaos in the race to follow Laois out of the basement.

Good win for Longford today.

4 teams on 6 points.

Leitrim may throw their hat at it altogether.

Constantly lose the big games.

Tipp have drawn with both London and Waterford now.

Wildweasel74

Same team in 2 semi finals last 7/8yrs

Armagh18

Madness. Always liked Tipp I think from they beat Galway that time in 2016 and they caught us in Armagh in the league game as well that either cost us promotion or relegated us one year which was sickening. Is Quinlivan still playing? Great player.

No Quinlivan this year or two an absolute quality player.

Sweeney not far behind.

Alot of hype around this O'Connor guy playing with them now is he good.

For a team languishing in bottom half of Division 4 thats 3 forwards they have produced of top quality.

More than the majority of the teams in the top 2 divisions.

Is the hurling dominance the main reason why they have slipped back to the pack?

Quinlivan hasn't played much with Tipp on recent years due to work commitments. Was a quality player.

Tipp had a golden period in football winning a minor AI in 2011 and a couple Munsters around then. Made the u21 and minor final in 2015. Never pushed on from the successful run in 2016 when made AI semi final.

Think CB saw the succes of football as a threat to the hurling. Banned dual players at underage. They won Munster in 2020 but a couple lads that left  returned to panel due the pandemic.

Have been hit with number of key players leaving the panel in recent years.

That was some day out , Quilivan Hat Trick , the winning goal with 6 seconds to go . Quinlivan living in Dundalk now , probably continue to Play with Commercials . If Mickey Harte was still Louth Manager would he be tempted ? Anyhow we have brought in a lot of young Players this year and lost a lot of quality , Kevin Fahey for example gone travelling . New Manager and 8-9 of our starters this year it`s their first year playing Senior . Still Sweeney, Russell and Steven O`Brien to return from injury so not all doom and gloom for The Premier ! As our Manager Paul Kelly said we were naive yesterday and should have won but the inexperience showed and not just yesterday . It`s a learning curve . So hopefully with the return of the 3 above mentioned we will give promotion a shot next year .

Must be frustrating for the genuine football people in Tipp though.

Yous had the makings of a team to be competitive with Cork and Kerry on a more regular basis there.

Remember they beating us [Derry] as well to make the quarters in 2016. Both the full forward Quinlivan and Sweeney well stood out.
