2 covers? Covers should be banned IMO!

Rape Me
Lounge Act
SLTS

Aye , but  sure  the start  of this thread was for the Pogues , and I'm sure some picked  The Irish Rover and Waltzing Matilda .

Anyway , I'm not much of a Nirvana fan , but I did like the unplugged album ,  hence the inclusion of 1 and 3

;D it's the taking part that counts 🤟

Quote from: Wildweasel74 on May 12, 2024, 06:40:40 PMArmagh fold again on Penalties, Why was Rian O'Neil taken off. Awful way to lose a game. Some Armagh supporters argue that's that a draw! 4 point up with 20 mins to go, Armagh went bck into their shell instead pushing on.
This time Armagh did not fold, good save to win it. Rian couldn't walk at full time, physio was working on him he had run out of gas. Why Oisin doesn't start or come in earlier is a mystery. But Donaghy telling Jarly Og to recycle a mark that was scoreable  points to a mindset that leads to losing games. Twice at least they had the game won and then stopped doing what was working for them. Players running into dead ends and not taking opportunities points to that  same mindset. Something needs to change, if not McGeeney then the back room. They need a change of direction. Some incredible scores yesterday from both teams, fair play Donegal they found a a way.

Folding in penalty shootout not sure about that however game was certainly there to be won by Armagh in normal time and extra time and will look back on that with much regret.

I thought the last two Armagh penalties weren't good ones.  Patton unlucky he didn't save one before he did save one to win the shoot out.  By that stage it was coming down to fellas that didn't want to take penalties.

Quote from: didlyi on May 11, 2024, 10:37:55 AMI think Cork People have every right to be upset. They are the most populous hurling county and yet 3 of their munster hurling matches are behind a pay wall. Something stinks about that, the Gaa know that these 3 games alone will generate huge income. Do the Gaa or RTE produce viewing figures for Gaago?

And two of those games were in Cork itself....

Well they can all watch the Tipp game on the television this weekend.

Disgrace I tell you.

Quote from: SouthDublinBro on Today at 12:14:18 AMKieran McGeeney has now had 10 years in charge of Armagh with talented enough players. Not even winning ONE Ulster title is embarrassing. It's an ongoing culture of abject failure. Just as how Mayo will continue to not win an AI title until perennial chokers Aidan O'Shea and Cillian O'Connor are excised from that panel, Armagh CAN'T succeed until McGeeney is removed.

You can't be sure about that. If McGeeney had left years ago we could be playing Tailteann Cup. Bear in mine it has been a long time since we had success at any underage, so we're making best out of our limited resources.

One step removed from Neville's 'best in class' trope

So to address that they've acquired a 71yo billionaire minority shareholder supporter and Jason Wilcox

The football world is trembling at the prospect!

And if all else fails blame the Glazers, who to date have 5 PL titles and a European Cup under their tenure

Any current successful team that doesn't have top quality football people behind the scenes?  The 5 PL titles and a European Cup was won with Ferguson still there and the structure of the club and how it was ran went with his retirement. The true worth of the Glazers has been seen since.
Is AF still not involved behind the scenes though. Constantly on the screen anytime Utd play. They made some big hullabaloo about a new role he was employed in a few years ago too if I remember. When Ronaldo returned, it was his doing according to some and the man himself. Big big say in managerial appointments we are told. So some of the worst decisions these Glazers have made and dropped the club in the shite, were they not just listening to great football men?

If Ferguson hadn't stuck his nose in horsey business Utd might have had better outcomes

I'm not against the attacking mark but think it needs tweaked. A wee pump pass into the 45 should not result in a free kick at goal

The biggest compliment you can pay Ferguson is how on under god he won the last of those PL titles with that team.

Attacking mark has added little or nothing to the game and would be one of the first rules I'd get rid of.
