EC Unique, I admire your loyalty but let it go.

Just because Ciaran has a bit of pace about him and a fairly decent engine doesn't make him a county player. He lacks b*alls. Pulled out of 3 challenges in a row yesterday. I'm sure he is a decent lad, but not a county player in my eyes and in the eyes of many Tyrone supporters.

Can you tell us what happened in the 3rds game at the weekend? A few unsavoury incidents it would appear?

Looking to book a hotel for a short family break, 2 or 3 nights. Needs to be somewhere in or around the midlands, certainly no further south than Portlaoise and must have a swimming pool.

Any ideas?

I was told the injury happened in the week between the Down games, he was togged out the first day and took part in the warm-up but wasn't togged out in Newry.

At this stage I would imagine a quarter final for Omagh v Eglish would be a more realistic target for him which is unfortunate from a county point of view.

We'll done all, great motivation, to the point I have been embarrassed coming on to this thread for the past month or 2. Have been very slack since the 10k in March.

Finally got off my ass and out yesterday for a slow (tough) 11k. Started the Hal Higdon program for the Brisbane half on 3 August so hopefully that's me back on track! Today was stretching and strength only so handy day to get started, looking forward to getting back in to it!

Athletic NI has a race calendar and carries results as well.
Got great news, picked up a job at home. Unfortunately means I'll miss the Brisbane half, was well on track, half 14km race on Sunday. Anyway, can anyone advise of websites at home with race calendar, wouldn't mind still looking at a half round August/September.

Also No1, who is running the Strangford 10km, wouldn't mind doing it and could get a few pints after and stay at the wife's home place.

I expect to see 2-3 changes to the Monaghan team.

As for Tyrone, I can see that team starting with the only question over Stephen O'Neill. We may see Coney coming in for him.

I had heard that Joe McMahon has an Achilles injury, from experience it can be a slow healer with rest the only real cure. Haven't heard anything to suggest he is back training again.

Mickey Harte has it in today's Irish News that he'll play so nail him on for the No. 15 spot on Sunday..

That's very nice of Mickey to help out with the Monaghan team selection.

Harte will plan for McManus starting. If he doesn't he will most certainly appear at some stage. I think we all know McCrory will pick him up.

Looks like good craic but to be honest Westport is great most of the time anyway. Super spot.
Gong there in Sept for a stag. Was there with the missus about a dozen years ago so didn't get to appreciate the many hostelries. What is there of note and anything not drink related during the day? We have already ruled out "activities" on the Saturday which brings danger  :o

A pub with a bookmakers next door, a jukebox and a pool table will suffice Tony Baloney...don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

GAA Discussion / Re: Armagh v Cavan Sun 8th June

Just an observation, from the footage I have seen as Cavan approached the parade Andy Mallon was down fixing his socks and another Armagh player was facing behind him - they hardly looked like men set up for a confrontation. When it did kick off more Armagh players stepped back from the melee than Cavan, again a suggestion they hadn't gone looking for this.

I am 100% Club, 0% County. I think a lot of people in here would much rather win a Club Championship than Tyrone win Ulster!!!!! Does anybody here see GAA going the same way as Rugby?? Elite players are contracted to Tyrone (AKA Ulster Rugby) and the Club games go ahead regardless of these missing players???

No, can never see this happening. Rugby is all about money, the inter-pro players are employees. Their club affiliation doesn't mirror the GAA.

Our clubs are in our blood, we don't pick them (in most cases!). County players won't give that up.

All these Beard users are confusing me!

I hope its not the same poster with a split personality!!!!  :o

Sorry WT4E, didn't realise there was an existing poster with that name. Is there anyway I can amend my own?

I'm a regular reader on here but have just decided to start contributing. If it makes it any easier I can ask Admin to make the amendment.

You can please some of the people some of the time all of the people some of the time some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.

Some people aren't happy unless they are complaining. The situation with the club championship isn't ideal, but in my opinion anything beats the rush job that occured last year. Granted, we aren't effected by having a county senior player, but we do have issues with our minors.

If the app isn't working just go to Paddy Power through your mobile internet browser, it will work fine. Happens from time to time, not sure why.
