In the absence of the competing counties coming to an agreement, Munster CCC fixes the date for them.

Initial date for both football semi finals was Saturday 2 June, which would clash with Cork hosting Limerick in the hurling.  Kerry and Clare agreed to switch to Sunday 3 June, when Tipp and Waterford hurlers meet in Limerick.

Hard to believe nobody mention doubling up in Thurles next Sunday, as claimed in the article.

Whats more amazing is instead of standing firm when both teams couldnt agree to the 2nd or 3rd the munster CCC clearly bowed to Corks wishes. What started all this is cork limerick hurling was moved to saturday because of the cork city marathon on sunday. They then changed Tipp cork to sunday which clashed with tipp waterford hurling (so the fact they made this change shows it wasnt the dual fans who were in their minds while fixing these). How could anyone in the munster CCC actually come out and say a 6 day turn around was the best solution. The game should be going ahead Saturday the 2nd of june no questions. The first the 26th was mentioned im led to believe was the night of the vote. Its a disgrace this fixture and them trying to justify it is laughable.

Would an afternoon throw-in on 2 June in Thurles be more acceptable...even early afternoon?

I'd say they named Kerrigan at 27 as non-playing captain  (he's a good few weeks off being back from what I heard.)

Looking at this lineup gameplan will be to drop bodies back and try and hit Tipp on the break.
Wouldn't be surprised if Loughrey was a late switch in the backs.

Walsh was back with the footballers last year - definitely a gamble playing him, being picked for performances 5 year ago.

No Donncha O'Connor, which is a bit surprising, especially given there isn't exactly a world of experience in the 26 named.
That's a lot of bang average footballers in that 26, I'd be gobsmacked if Cork make the summer 8s.

Tipp deservedly favourites for this, even if Sweeney is doubtful.

Thats a decent bench Cork have, not so sure about the starting 15 though. Sherlock in the little I've seen of him reminds me of Andy Moran.

From what I've seen of Cork the last few years that looks like the worst Cork team I've seen the last 30 years.

Sherlock does look like he has it, but I heard he wasn't going great in training which was why O'Neill starts. For me he is the one player on the bench with a serious chance of making an impact. I think that is a weak Cork bench overall.

Not wrong about it being the worst Cork team in the last 30 years.

If Tipp want to be taken seriously as contenders they need to be winning this without too much bother.

After losing to Cork last year i'd say Tipp will be more than delighted to pick any type of win in this fixture.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

I don't think there's any provision in the rules for a replacement (there is a provision for replacing goalkeepers, if there is an injury) in a situation like this so Cork will be down a man on the sub's bench.

Possibly a rule that needs changing for circumstances like this?

They named 27 anyway, wouldn't that have to be cut to 26 for the match anyway.
