What exactly did Harte say that was embarrassing?

At least it wasnt the cliche BS other managers come out with

It's not so much what he said as the fact he was so rattled. He has been composure personified for years but suddenly he is getting easily rattled over innocent enough questioning.

Easily rattled or just pissed off at interviewers who keep continuously suggesting Tyrone played ultra defensive every game last year when in fact they pretty much hammered the shite out of each team they met in the championship before the Dublin game?  When you give your time for an interview you expect the fuckwit hosting it to have done a little more than just re-hash the garbage from the Sunday Independent.

All right for you to say.. try sitting in Croke Park watching thon after spending a small fortune on ticets for the Mrs and wee'uns and Tyrone continuing to be totally defensive when they were way behind with smallest man on his own up front. Ulster football has fallen back a lot.

Just because you're hammering the sh1te out of teams doesn't mean you're not playing ultra defensive football.  Tyrone hockeyed Armagh but played the majority of the game with 14 men behind the ball.  As others have said it may be good enough to beat teams in a poor enough Ulster championship but it won't beat Dublin and it's unlikely to beat Mayo or Kerry.
Keep your pecker hard and your powder dry and the world will turn.

you can mix it a bit... Tyrone let supporters down very badly against the Dubs. At least push up a bit as Mayo did

But then how completely and utterly inept are Derry, Donegal, Down and Armagh if an ultra defensive team can rattle up big scores against them? I fear for Geezer, Gallagher, Burns et al when Mark "Paxman" Sidebottom gets a rattle at them.
That was never a square ball!!

Sure they would have beat them with a more attacking game plan.  Tyrone have superior players to Derry, Down and Armagh and would have beat them with more progressive tactics.  It'll be interesting to see how far Donegal can go with their more expansive game plan this year.  I hope Bonner (although I don't particularly like the man) gets rewarded for this change of tack.

The managers of those 3 teams get a right enough rattle. . . Tyrone are looking to win an All Ireland. Yes they can beat a lot of teams in Ireland but when it comes to the crunch their tactics aren't good enough.

It's clear for all to see they need a plan B if they want to go the extra step. If Mickey is happy enough with winning Ulster's handily why not say that?
