Aint we a great little county all the same!
I saw Begley had a great game in the U21's.
How did Donie do without having to go through the "Rocky" training regime?

Quigley, Bud, Quigley. Begley's the lad playing Down Under footie.
Donie did fine but I heard his club performance in a league game the next day was something to behold.

Ah yeah we're back on the road Bud after putting the mighty Armagh to the sword !!
Good to hear from you, hope all's well with you.
Things looking up on the football front too with the Under 21's back in the Leinster final and the seniors looking for a result up in Derry which would really give them a shout at the league semis.

Dinny,

Which Moorefield player is Kevin O'Neill? I umpired the Moorefield v St Pats Leinster Club game and the full back was in all sorts of trouble with Paul Earls. Then a tall midfielder with a bit of a beard came back and completely put the shackles on Earls. I presume this is O'Neill? He was very impressive

Bud,
Not much I can add to what the other posters have said here, good luck with everything.
Disastrous sounding result yesterday. Looks like we had a pretty full strength team out so I don't know what the future looks like for us.

yep micko's track record speaks for itself.

With Kildare - Brian Lacey (Tipperary), Karl O'Dwyer (Kerry)

With Laois - Billy Sheehan (Kerry), Shane Cooke(Dublin)

Now Wicklow - Tom Walsh (Carlow)

Shane Cooke played for Laois before Mick O'Dwyer ever managed them.
I'm not defending him or anything but I'd also point out that Brian Lacey moved to Kildare Town where he still lives and plays his club football before ever Kildare GAA availed of his services.
The Sheehan transfer is indefensible though.

All reports indicate that Kearns was perfectly right to drop Donie.
And it should also be pointed out that the panel is open ended and if he does enough work, impresses with the under 21's, there's a fair to middling chance he will be recalled.

GAA Discussion / Re: Westmeath Vs Laois

Laois (SF v Westmeath): F Byron; C Ryan, D Rooney, P O'Leary; T Kelly, K Fitzpatrick, B McCormack; P Clancy, B Quigley; D Murphy, P Lawlor, G Kavanagh; R Munnelly, B McDonald, C Parkinson.

Probably the best team available to Kearns at this time. We're still without Fennelly, Higgins, McMahon, Barry Brennan, Garvan and Conway. Donie Brennan has been dropped off the panel but it's kinda open ended for him and others to reappear.
I'm not sorry ye're missing Keane, he's a right good player. I think Peter O'Leary and David "Squirty" Murphy are league debutants for us although both played championship last summer.

I find it worth the money.
You also get Celtic TV (and Rangers TV :D).
And Racing UK.
A good mix.

Garvan rejoining the panel next week.
Munnelly, B Brennan, Conway and Quigley should all be OK for Westweath game.
I believe Higgins, Fennelly and McMahon are a bit further behind in recovery terms

My apologies, it's not the Hogan Cup of course.

The Hogan Cup.
Kildare colleges have virtually no record in it with (as far as I know) their only win in 1923 by St Thomas of Newbridge.

Not great yesterday. I suppose a win is a win. Impressed with Wooly, Clancy and Madigan. Our beloved neighbours next Sunday, should be a bit more intensive.
