'The GAA is pleased to announce a reduction of €5 on all adult stand prices and terrace prices for this year's GAA Football and Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championships up to and including semi finals.

This reduction combined with the GAA Season Ticket offer and other GAA ticket packages ensures that the Association remains to the fore in terms of value for money' - Fair play.

More like an admission that they got it wrong at the start of the year and are feeling the pinch with half-empty stands.

Blowitupref

So ticket prices remain the same in the provincial championships?
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

The GAA is pleased to announce a reduction of 5 Euro on all adult stand prices and terrace prices for this year's GAA Football and Hurling All Ireland Senior Championships up to and including semi finals.

Prices for the opening round of the GAA All-Ireland Qualifiers in both codes have been reduced to 15 Euro

I paid 35 euro for the Cork v Roscommon QF last year & I'll be at the next two Connacht games where i'll have to pay 25/30 euro.

Connacht Council prices are scandolous.

it would seem so, it was only central council who got it wrong re pricing, not the provincial councils.  Sure the Ulster council caters for a different country anyway, luckily for them one that's evidently not in recession.

It's disgraceful. Especially for Rossies who want to see their minors. Rossfan I suppose would be one of these supporters.

My point was simply that it's unusual to change prices after the season has started. It shows they called it wrong in the first place.

Only the stand prices were ridiculous anyway - terraces were reasonable enough. But the more affordable it is, the better.

Leo

At provincial level €10 is enough for any stand ticket, €5 for the terrace, children U16 free (accompanied), Senior Citizens €5 in the stand. Simple.
All-Ireland semi finals double that, finals should then be top price but subject to match/club loyalty system which the GAA is totally scared of.
Fierce tame altogether

I think that's going too far. A Championship match for the same price as a pint?

€15-€18 for the stand and €10-€12 for the terrace is reasonable enough, with concessions.

Jinxy

If the tickets were €2.50 it still wouldn't be enough for some people.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

He would the poor hoor  :D
Mind you €25 ( esp for  poor Laythrums) to sit on a wet uncovered concrete seat in Carrick last Sunday was awful robbery.
