They don't like it up 'em Cpt Mainwaring. RIP Jonesy.

Are there any of the Walmington On Sea "Regiment" left?
Has to be the funniest sitcom of all time (imho).

Surely the young fella, or the chancer with the moustache are still alive?

Hardy

I just can't leave a question like that and pass on, so I Googled and Wikied:

Pike (Ian Lavender) is 66.
Walker (James beck) died in 1973, aged 44.
Hodges, the ARP warden (Bill Pertwee) is 86.
The vicar is 81.
The rest are pushing up nóiníns.

Cheers for that Hardy. I knew James Beck died young (I don't think he finished the series). The "stupid boy" pops up on telly every now and then (still instantly recognisable). The whole thing was a joy to watch (still is). My personal favourite character was Frazer "we're doomed Cpt mainwaring, we're doomed I tell you".

Actor Clive Dunn, best known for his role as Lance-Corporal Jones in Dad's Army, has died aged 92.

He was in Portugal and died from complications following an operation earlier this week.

Dunn - also known for My Old Man and Grandad - became a recording star in 1971 when his record, Grandad, reached number one in the charts.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla Morgan and two daughters, Jessica and Polly.

A great age, but easily the most annoying character of the series.

Larry Hagman was a true legend.

He is/was very hammy in the latest Dallas (which is all himbos in my opinion) but he was class in the original in the 70s/80s that I watched religiously when I could.

I watched series 1-10 of Dallas overthe past few years, totally love it and JR was a character I loved to hate. Thought he looked too sick in the new series. Poor Larry, got caught up with drink and drug probs, but managed to live past 80.

JR will live on forever because of one man.....................
