Winners are out 4 days later too.

Another example of how much the county team rule the roost, and clubs are an afterthought.

The Athletic Grounds didn't look great Friday night tbh after a lot of recent rain & games, a further 2 wet games on Saturday and one tonight will hardly help, forecast is shite for Wednesday as well.

Tbf there was a bereavement so good to see some spirit of community between the county boards, to get the game played.

Tyrone were the best team in Ulster in January 2016 and 2017 and proved it again come July. Maybe some of the other ulster counties who have won nothing of note in a long time should start taking it a bit more serious.

It's embarrassing for Tyrone.

There are a good few floodlit pitches. I don't see why they are moving it to Armagh. Is there an official reason given?

A few venues in Tyrone with great floodlights but none of them would be able to accommodate the large crowd that this game will pull in.

Back pitch at Carmen same as 2005 semi-final replay?
Surely the crowd wont be so big as to require a county ground.
A tighter venue to allow for a better atmosphere would have been ideal.

Tyrone just won back to back ulster titles. I'm not sure anyone from the other 8 ulster counties are in a position to take the hand out of them for also adding McKenna Cup's to their trophy haul. If anything it proved it didn't do any harm and the form held up later in the year. Dublin or Mayo could look down their nose at the McKenna Cup but you'd think some of the other ulster counties would be glad to try and win something.

This is turning into a circus.

First the match is fixed for the day of the All ireland final.
Rescheduled because it was a stupid fixture.
Rescheduled due to a bereavement (ok with me, it's wasn't in any ones power to avoid this)
Rescheduled to play outside the County last night in a rush for damage limitation (creating more damage)
Postponed for weather and rescheduled again for the same venue tonight.

All this because young club footballers at the prime of their life have nothing better to do.

Great game of football last night. Big success playing it Armagh in great conditions. It was brilliant to see the joy it brought to the local Armagh people who turned out and got to witness a rare decent county club championship game in their home ground. One man beside me commented we haven't saw anything like this in the Armagh club championship in over 20 years. I think Tyrone should consider bringing our championship on tour more often and give Armagh a game or two every year. Would help promote the game amongst the children there which is only good for the gaa.

The issue is that  Armagh club football is pig shit, hence the county team being a shambles who  couldn't buy a win Ulster.   The GAA wanted to  the buckfast army to see what real football is like and since 80% of the cider county don't have a driving licence they had to ship some class in from Tyrone.

On a side note, refreshing to see this game was only a fiver in. Plain to see Armagh County board had no influence on price as they would put Ryanair to shame.

When confronted as to why folk who bought the live games for £5 (500% rise in 4 years) had to pay an additional £5 to view a 're-run, the county boards response was "you don't get a DVD when you go to the cinema". Although initially humoured by this comeback it really does smack of arrogance and compete disregard to our members, after all aren't we are all equal. These guys merely represent our club's.

Btw I was banned thereafter (again) for merely pointing out that comparing amateur GAA club footballers to professionally paid actors was totally wrong. I did suggest that the CB where in essence whoring out our players to pay for our county teams ever expanding budget. I think the whoring part got me banned considering my mis spelling of the word was made fun off in the little message I got when attempting To log on.

why would we want to watch club football that can barely produce an Ulster club winner let alone an Ireland one!? Maybe send over a few ties involving the previous years intermediate winners. They're starting to get into a habit of beating previous senior champions

Baffled by this Mr Fearon.  How can an Armagh man criticise Tyrone for not showing up at Croke Park??  Armagh waited until the game was up before they recorded a score.  McGeeney is still wondering where is all went wrong and why his weightlifters cant play football.  Back to the weights programme, sorry I meant drawing board

At least Tyrone teams turn up at the Athletic Grounds unlike the Tyrone Senior team at Croke Park!

We turned up fine in 2003 and for the 2005 semi... not a bit of bother

Can't see how Tyrone teams running out at the home if Armagh football is such an issue.  After all Armagh have been 'owned' by Tyrone for most of a decade!   ;D

Except in 2014. And in last years league.

One big win doesn't define a whole decade.

One big win?  Bar 2014 we've handed you you hole on a plate on every occasion!  The scoring difference must be well over 60 points by now!

Watched the second half of the Pomeroy game and was very impressed with Armagh TV set up. Loved the replays and all during it. Only downfall was the two boys commentating, boy were they hard to listen to!

I will say this for Tyrone wans, they show up in droves to support their teams, I was talking to some fans from Pomeroy after their game and they were brilliant people, they thought the set up at the Athletic grounds was great and they had a great evening altogether.

I usually stay away from Tyrone supporters because they smell of bog and their eyes are too close together but they were good lads and gave me hope that not everyone in red hand land is an amadan!

Keep em coming, based on what I saw and heard these are exactly the kind of people we need at our grounds! Up Armagh. )
