Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Shocking. He was one of those actors that had a 'presence' on the screen.

T Fearon

President of Belfast Celtic Society of which I am a member. Tragically had his leg broken as teenager in the 40s as a result of a sectarian attack by Linfield supporters at Windsor Park, which led to Belfast Celtic's withdrawal  from Irish League and the club's demise, and robbed Jimmy of a professional career in England.

Never saw him play but saw him in the dugout managing Glenavon. Remember particularly an Irish Cup tie in 1971, when his Glenavon side lost two nil to Distillery in Lurgan. Both Distillery goals that day were scored by a young student called Martin O'Neill.
