Just wondering if many clubs in Laois have produced a club history. I am aware Portlaoise did a few

John Phelan did one about 15 years ago called "In The Shadow Of The Goalposts" which was a comprehensive history of Borris-in-Ossory, Kilcotton, and Kyle clubs. It also had many statistics relating to intercounty Laois teams.
And then there was the 125 year publication w/ histories and articles of all the existing clubs in the county.

The PRO

O'Dempseys did one a long time ago. The Heath and Stradbally also did a long time ago. Joe O'Dwyer did Port around 10 years ago. Ballyroan brought out one last year.

Heshs Umpire

Tom Murphy did the Annanough one in 1987. It's a great book. Covers local history along with the GAA.
Well I could keep it above
But then it wouldn't be sky anymore

BallyroanAbu

Eamon Mulhall, Frank Delaney, & Willie Mcgrath did our one last year.  Great book prob priced a bit cheap €20 but sold out of it just before Xmas.  Well worth doing while there are people around who can remember the History.

For The Harps there's "A Score and Ten: The Harps - Winning Titles For Over Thirty Years," by Seán Conroy in 2015.

Are there any history books about the Intercounty team?
