Why did Parkinson fall out with OTB, I saw him tweeting that they didn't credit him for his interview with the ladies Mayo manager, a bit narcissistic I thought.

He reckons a couple of the more high-profile people involved with OTB are spoofers (Joe Molloy isn't one of them).
I recall he was sticking the knife into them around the time they lost the radio rights to cover games.
Basically said they were only interested in GAA coverage when it suited them.

Did he think they should have got into a bidding war with RTE, the GAA made their choice and no surprise it was RTE, they control the narrative a lot better with RTE. I like OTB's coverage of GAA they get a lot right but by no means perfect. They must provide at at least 4 hours a week of GAA coverage, what do RTE Radio provide outside live coverage? Or Joe.ie for that matter.

Seems more personal to me, himself and Gilroy probably fell out, no doubt over money rather than creative differences.

Reckon that's at the heart of it alright.

GAA Discussion / Violence in Adult Club Football
September 17, 2018, 09:54:12 AM
Just trying to get a sense of the general landscape here.
In Meath, for my money violence has significantly decreased.
Then again the worst rows I ever saw were at underage level, not adult football.

I was at the game. Cavanagh caught the ball was fouled (by no.9 I think) and fell. No.12 came in and fell on top of him with both knees. I don't know if was an accident or not. Only the player will know. Ref was looking straight at it. Didn't deem it worthy of a card etc. The ref in general had a poor game for both teams.
All Tyrone games are videoed. That will probably come out this week. Whether that sheds any light on the incident is anybodies guess.

Anyway that's exactly what happened.

Is there some genetic weakness in the lower legs of Tyrone men that causes them to do this?

Are all Tyrone games not recorded now and streamed live? Someones bound to have a recording.

I had heard he had went up for a kickout and as he landed he met a shoulder. Again could be bullshit hearsay like 95% of talk on here.

It must have been this shoulder he met.

Is Sean being targeted because of the book?

Colm O'Rourke was right.

That was a worldie, reminds me of Gooch's against Mayo in 2011. Art.

The way Carla Rowe finished her two goals was Gooch-esque alright.
Dunno why so many players go for power in that situation.
Just pass it into the net with the side of your boot.
No need to put the head down and bury it.

Full-back Orlagh Lally having a stormer for Meath.
Should be playing much further up the field from now on though.
Stacey Grimes excellent at wing-forward as well.
Young team, will benefit from the experience.
Tyrone just too fit, too well-organised and too clinical for them.
Meath girls carrying the ball into the tackle and Tyrone defenders turning them over at will.

It's defintiely no stretch. Sure didn't Kimmage savage the chairman of that Dublin club for a similar statement against an individual. If I was Leahy I'd lawyer up to f**k, it's a measure of respect that he hasn't done so.

Apparently Newstalk have contacted him and apologised for the language used by their guest.

Where did you hear this?
If I was Leahy, I'd demand that they make a very public announcement on the evening show as a lot of people heard that interview with Cora.

How does he know?
I assumed they'd revealed it on air this morning.
A private apology is not much use to him on its own.

Honourable mention for the attempted murder of Mickey Ned O'Sullivan by several Dublin defenders in 1975.
