You know when people say things like, "This would never happen if a woman was running the country/banks etc."?
Turns out women are just as capable of making an utter balls of things as men are.
and guess what? us men are the problem according to alot of women, apparently this wouldnt happen in mens gaa!!! the ignorance of some women on this topic is staggering and they have a really big chip on there shoulder... build a f**king bridge and get over it... errrr
In fairness if you'd been oppressed for 8000 years you'd have a fair chip on your shoulder too.
We've got enough of a chip on our shoulder about being oppressed by England for 800 sodding years..

They're saving that for Spillane - A Legacy.
Ironically I usually forget just how much of an all-time great Pateen is with all the shite he talks. A bit like Paudi (not saying he talked shite but y'know) he'll only get proper recognition like this when he's gone.
You'd imagine there is a whole generation (if not two) out there who have no real understanding of how good a footballer Spillane actually was - no-one under the age of 30 probably ever saw him play a game - instead he's one of the lads on the telly who talks nonsense. O'Rourke is in the same boat given they are around the same vintage and Brolly is probably the same for folk under 20.
You could up that age for Spillane by about 5 or 10 years as im 30 and I don't remember him playing at all.
Brolly was around when I was in Primary school..

Bloody horrible golf course; featureless, characterless and the greens look like stale pancakes.
agree 100% - its as if everyone - players and pundits are afraid to say it. Never mind corruption in FIFA and back-handers for worldcup bids, who voted for this place? I understand the will to get the US open to the North West, but surely there are better courses than this? I don't really care about the colour of the greens, but the surface is rubbish. There's no skill involved putting on a bad surface, the winter greens at my local clubs were better ffs.
That said, there are a few things i do like about Chambers Bay - I really like the idea of the non-level tee boxes that have the players thinking about how to use it to shape shots. I also like that spectators are restricted well back from most of the holes..

Been watching The Affair on Sky.. seems decent enough so far, good plot (not just the obvious one) but I'm getting the odd glance/stare from the missus !!! not recommended if youve been a naughty boy

How could not admire the man after what he has achieved and gone through. I am not overly holy as they say, and he does egg the holy stuff, but his passion came through for me. Leaders are made of stern stuff, and to be at the top you need a steely unshakable belief, he has that in buckets.

His appointment of Gavin Devlin tells us all we need to know
about the Football side of his character.

Naomh Mhichíl. It would sicken your hole.
What? The fact that he made Tyrone one of the best teams if the modern era? I'd say that would sicken the hole of a county living on past glories alright!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion Brendan. Stop letting that anger get the better of you again.
No anger here my little Derry buddy! But anyone who watched Mickey talk about what he talked about and think to themselves that it sickened their hole, must have a pretty sick hole to begin with. I'm sure people weren't expecting Pat Kenny to discuss blanket defences, sledging and the geometrics of football now were they?
It sickens my hole that he tried to say Tyrone were the attacking team in the 2003 All Ireland Semi Final and Pat let him away with it.
It sickens my hole that he talks about his faith and doing the right thing all the time yet let's a tr**p like Ryan McMenamin do what he did for so long.
It sickens my hole that he's this man of great faith etc. yet RTE apologised for that they did and he still won't speak or let his team speak to RTE. . . there are more but that's 3 without even thinking too hard about it.
Personally what he's been through is horrendous and the way he has overcome it is admirable but there does seem to be 2 different sides to the man when it comes to football!!!

Cockahoop that is some allegation to make, you would really want to have witnessed it yourself as you will get yourself into trouble some day if its loose talk. ...and very clever the way you have used it to help you denigrate a larger group, set up and indeed county.
