Loughnane hurled for Clare 72-87, they lost 6 Munster finals never graced an All-Ireland semi never mind a final, must have been some gutless shower of hurlers.

Loughnane is looking for a reaction! Galway were woeful. Jez, do you want him to clap them on the back. Leinster titles mean nothing to Galway bar an easier path to an AI semi final. I doubt there were any Galway players shedding tears at not lifting the Bob O'Keeffe Cup yesterday. The hurt is more from not that which was lost but more how far this group have to get to - to win.

I remember Loughnane in the 1981 Gaelsport annual saying he would swap his 2 NHL medals for one All Ireland medal.
