We certainly have more quality than NI, how many NI players would make a combined team? Evans & Davis would be the only 2 good enough.

Looking like we'll get some good games in the B side of the draw, Cork in today and Galway probably in next week with one of Monaghan/Donegal in the week after.

I see a few reporting that the police have already investigated the incident, case closed.

Hahaha, you're off your rocker. The John Terry case in England is shown you don't have to be found guilty of a crime to get shafted by matters off the pitch.

Case closed as far the players are concerned apparently, English FA very different from any other.

FOC gone to the states for the summer?
Could have told you that weeks ago  8), actually I think I did

Technically you didn't  ;D
True but the story of him getting a month off to get an injury cleared up, only to play MOM the following weekend for his club should have raised suspicion of that story.

I agree, I'd imagine KW was trying to change his mind.

I'm not sure how big a loss it is as I'm not completely convinced by him anyway but it certainly leaves us short in numbers. I'm happy with Flynn partnering Conroy  but it looks like if anything should happen to either of them than Peter Cooke will be next in line and considering he's played very little senior football and is u21 again next year its a lot to ask.

Nani is one of the more outlandish rumours doing the rounds currently......

Mind you I'd take him over Depay or Young!!

I would be astounded if Nani came back, don't see that happening. I see a few reports saying Embolo is a done deal, I'd be a bit disappointed if he was the only right sided attacking player we signed this summer. I don't think he's good enough to be a United starter yet, I would be a bit surprised if we signed another promising youngster given we have so many at the club currently.

There's huge funds available for Mourinho this summer, a quick look at the accounts show amortisation will be down about £12m in comparison to last years accounts.

Is Harney injured?

D Murtagh appears to be very injury prone as do a few others.

Both are very injury prone. Murtagh has now pulled his hamstring 3 times in 12 Months. Harney has pulled his 3 times since December but is due to start full training in the next week.

Didn't realise it was the same injury they kept suffering from, unfortunately its hard to imagine these 2 keeping fit for the summer. Its a shame as both are two of the best young players I've seen in recent years.

Talk of Darmian/Bonucci swap. I like Bonucci as a player. Think he'd do well in England.

I'd be delighted with that, I really think Mourinho wants an experienced defender and I very much doubt Darmian will be first choice next season although I'd rather he stays ahead of Blind & Rojo.

So Mourinho's first signing is a player we were never linked too, I still wouldn't be surprised if he bought another centre half. It looks like Zlatan won't happen until July now, there's rumours about Pogba although if Real can afford him I see him going there although they'll need to get rid of Rodriguez first which won't be easy. I do think Mourinho wants a midfielder with a physical presence and we've been linked to Matic too although he's a totally different player from Pogba.

The u20 world cup starts next Tuesday and all the fixtures are taking place in Manchester. Ireland will be training at the Rugby facility where my GAA club are based so will get down and watch them train. Do Ireland have a chance of winning?

Don't you signing up any of those players now Maroon Manc! I know your squad inside out!!!!

Didnt make the 7s  comp u had last week as I have been away.

A great result for them last night, turned over when they were 17-3 down; Played very different rugby compared to the 1st team.

We better be getting some of this gravy train so we can redo a stadium that's actually going to be used for matches.

Are you comparing Dr Hyde park to PUC?

PUC will I'd imagine host the Munster football finals of 2017,2018, 2020 - will host at least 1 hurling championship game every year for forseeable future also and is a big part of the RWC 2023 bid. How many games will the Hyde host in the next 4-5 years?

The actual buidling/rebuilding of a decent size stadium in Cork isn't the problem as I see it. The problem is more the shambles of a location, added extra "centre of excellence" which is going to be a waste etc..

Playing a couple of big GAA matches matches a year is not enough to justify spending around 80m euro's on a stadium especially given that 50m has come funding outside the county. A stadium costing that amount should be used at least around 15 times a year to make it financially viable.

Managed to find a few articles on the development. HQ are giving them 20m euro's and their going to receive 30m euro's from a Government grant whilst Cork will have to find the rest themselves.

Its a bizare project that defies logic, any Cork posters on here who can correct me?
