Clifford is a big unit for all his skill and you do see him tie up towards the end of some games. If Tyrone rely on the bench a bit more and go hell for leather earlier would that be an option?

Back to the here and now...25 degress this weekend. Who are the fitter team? Whose bench can be called upon earlier in the day?

It's amazing how much a coach can set teams back and on the flip turn things round. The new rules are definitely suiting Meath and teams with good forwards more.
In Kildare we left things fester too long with a legendary player and the final year really did serious damage to a squad with potential. I do think Meath have far more up front than we do.

On the flip the new rules also work to make space for hard direct runs and Donegal have plenty of those, and lads who can loop round to finish.

I know some might say it's early in the Meath development but things are there to be won. It's giving a scorcher so the fitness levels and the subs will need to be on it.

Fancy Donegal by 4+ but you never know if Meath get their 2-pointers flowing.

Dublin are fond of putting a teammate under pressure with some of their short play.
Crappy little bouncey ones off the sod. They overhit so many when there was space inside too.

Cork didn't need any invitations mind. Some of their play was beautiful.

DunneRoyal would that be a runner for Keoghan to take Murphy if he drifts? He is not exactly lacking strenght and probably is more comfortable further out the field.

I heard that Rafferty had gone off when Galway did all the damage. Is that right?
He has been so good and is a throwback defender, and Murphy might not get much change from him, but if he drags him out then that opens it up for the runners.

Maybe the aul boys Keoghan and Murphy match up?

Donegal have a lot of runners but are not all as imposing as some of the Meath lads who can really motor. I had a feeling Meath would beat Galway, but Donegal are a step up.

Lads can I ask do kids at home listen to Podcasts at all? Just curious as I am doing some digging on something.

The below is the breach of their own contract whereby he was cleared by the DRA and GAA. Then this agreement was indirectly reneged on by the email...

Mr Gallagher wants a declaration that the defendants acted in breach of contract and due process when they, in effect, disciplined him on January 5th, thereby failing to be bound by a determination of the Dispute Resolution Authority in February 2024, and associated damages.

And then this is directly in relation to the Naas gig - where he will need to come out with loss of earning...

He is further seeking a declaration, and damages, that the defendants wrongfully induced or procured Naas to breach its lawful contractual obligations arising from a contract "made orally" between him and the Kildare club on or about late December 2024.

A couple of mentions of contracts. In one sense the clearing of him by Ulster GAA before the letter could have been seen as a breach of 'contract' and there is a more obvious mention of a 'verbal' one with Naas.

There's a defamation angle but if he goes down contract as coach route then loss of earnings would be public. Naas would have to say how much they were paying him and that's another can of worms with the tax man...

That's him so. He will probably bring Moyna with him and I wouldn't be shocked if he convinced Pat Gilroy to come back in a role.

It'll be interesting to see who Louth go for now. They look a team on the up, but they may have peaked this year. Like Kildare should have beaten them in Leinster.

Still, Roscommon are not such a great prospect in comparison and even Mayo seem to be a mess, and the off field BS will drag on too.

There seems to be a fair few lads in and around county teams now who might fancy stepping up. Donaghy is one who might cut his teeth somewhere soon, or if Jacko steps away would he jump in?

If Philly McMahon won Leinster and even All Ireland club with Naas then he'd be very much in the mix.

Ger Brennan is likeliest bet in fairness.

McEntee to Mayo seems an odd one at such short odds.
I don't see him making that step up.

I said it on the other thread but surely Darragh Canavan and McCurry will be better the next day too.
Canavan especially looked like he was off balance ALL the time.

Are the Ulster teams something Jacko is going to use in terms of psychology. As was noted they have beaten Tyrone plenty of times, but they can still rustle up some soreness from the 00s!

They see off Armagh, send Tyrone packing and then it's Donegal (more than likely) in the final. I'm sure he will tap into it.

I know following Gavin was a tough gig, but whoever comes next will be down serious players compared to when Dessie started.
