No man would have slept better in his bed last night than Lavey manager Gary Cushnehan.

A searing platter of humiliation kindly handed to Damian Cassidy, no doubt a settling of scores for his role in sending Lavey down a division.

As for the Lavey performance,  I have not seen them perform as well since their glory days.

Has a sleeping giant just been awakened?
Did the Downeys play?

Read the following closely. There is alot in the signs and symptoms that is nothing close to what you think of Brolly. Surely you can all do better. Successful at college, work, financially secure. Has a family. And he certainly has an extremely caring side to him. And he is hardly upset at the slightest criticism. And he also funny to be around.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence, they are not sure of their self-worth and are easily upset by the slightest criticism.

A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial matters. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they're not given the special favors or admiration that they believe they deserve. They may find their relationships troubled and unfulfilling, and other people may not enjoy being around them.

Grandiose Narcissist is the one you're looking for.  Trust this helps.

Very sorry to hear about Benny. Good memories of MacRory football with him. A bit shocked to be honest.

Written off at 17. Sure tell the brother to quit as well while we're here 😆

Where did he write him off? Totally fair point by Brendan, and if anything a fact - they do go for bigger lads in Oz
Exactly. Brendan just posted what everybody else was thinking!!

At least the BBC has asked the BBC to clarify and the BBC has responded to the BBC that the BBC can't  comment about the BBC to the BBC. The BBC asked the BBC for an interview but the BBC responded to the BBC that no-one from the BBC was available.   Communication is key to all of this.

Michael is quoted as saying he will not be coming out of retirement.

I think it would be only right to recognise that, the ladies of the Bellaghy Contingent of the Derry all ireland winning Camogie team, of saturday,  were out today at a Cul Camp coaching the future players of Bellaghy. A mere 2 days after their triumph.
Now that is impressive commitment  to their chosen sport. True Gaels.
Absolutely.  True GAA spirit.  Pass it on.

Kings of September by Michael Foley, about the 1982 All-Ireland Final, is the best GAA book I've ever read. First-class in every way.

House of Pain by Keith Duggan, about the Mayo football team, spoke to me, but I have skin in that game, God help me.

Hurling: The Revolution Years, by Denis Walsh is excellent on the golden years of 1990s hurling.

Over the Bar, by Breandán Ó hEithir might be hard to find now but it's a classic. Published in 1984 for the centenary, it's an elegy to a lost Ireland and the GAA's role in it.

Agus spéis agat snas a chuir ar do chuid Gaeilge, bain triail as Lá an Phaoraigh, le Seán Óg de Paor. Suimiúil go leor agus, níos fearr arís, tá an Ghaeilge caighdeánach go leor, rud nach bhfuil chomh  coitianta mar a shílfeá i bhfoilsitheoireacht leabhar Gaeilge.
Great read.  Leabhar iontach.

Are refs wise to the player making a line on the grass for a free on direction from the ref, and then running yards beyond that?

Rian O'Neill does it every time, and I've never seen it blown for him or anyone else.

There was never a worse one for it than his uncle Oisin.

Derry's Niall Toner is also shocking for it
Definitely.  He is not really a free taker in my opinion, lacks power in his kick.  One of Derry's big deficiencies at present, a top class free taker with a right boot.

Brolly is a schoolboy trapped in a man's body. Had to stop reading his Sindo column with all the shite in it. Endless stories about the "lads". "Night before the sigerson final we went on the lash, I rode miss Ireland and scored 2-5 the next morning. Barney Rock told me i scored the best point he ever seen" etc.

He attracts a crowd of similar minded, infantile syncophants. For the first while he was entertaining but the constant desire for validation is pathetic. I used to find him very annoying but lately I just pity him.
The schoolboy comparison is very apt!! :)  He always wanted to be one of the lads, a 'Sur', but never was.  Pity is probably the correct emotion.

Why the black shorts for Kerry?

A lot of girls teams changing the colour of their shorts this past while.

Rugby clubs at it also.

Due to period anxieties.

Practicalities.  Quite right they are too and hardly before time.

See the camogie girls done well to win today. We're well on top the whole game. I watched the penalty 3/4 times, Meath girl never dragged to the ground, she fell down.
Great win for the girls and congratulations to all involved.  Delighted for Aoife Ní Chaiside and her club. Laoch.
