Got bad news there.......
Have to work
27th 28th and 29th of December
As well as come in on 3rd of Jan which was also a holiday.
Technically I am off:
26TH Dec
30th Dec
2nd of Jan

Three days is not enough to celebrate the birth of our Lord.

First Christmas in new home as well and recently married.

People of the forum...feel sorry for me or at least let me hear tales for your broken Christmas.

ONeill

You're making a meel of it. My wife is working Christmas and St Boxing day.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Laid off 2 weeks ago :(
put that in your pipe...

More time off than me or my other half. My parents rarely got Christmas day off together as they both were nurses, got a half day if they were lucky.

get over it.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Knew this would be the response.

Regardless of that, this is hateful news, none of you (whether with a job or not) would want to work over this period. Christmas is for family. Work all year lock of days off at the end of it is nice.

Also on a side note, I don't believe in the lack of jobs talk. There are plenty of jobs out there, people are just very smug and wouldn't accept a job 'below' them. £6.08 is minimum wage- 40 hour week= £243.20 before tax and NI. Good enough wage in my opinion.

I do this most years. Got out of it the last couple purely to be around home for Christmas since Dad passed away. Back to it this year.

Dry them up fella.

Do you work for the minimum wage?

Simply reply "yes" or" no" please.

Giving myself a cyber kick in the hole for taking the wum bait.

Christmas is great. Not only no work, but nobody emails you and there isn't 50 messages on your work  phone when you go back and a crisis never occurs in your absence.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

No

I don't work for minimum wage but fellow poster Jonah stated that I was lucky to have a job, my response was saying if I didn't have this job I would happily take a job at minimum wage shovling sh** if needs be.
