The colts have their own agenda but they handled it badly I thought. They should have let the second string guys start the game and bring in the stars to save it rather than the other way round.

Brett Favre is not melting down, the team has lost those games and the Carolina result last week looks good in comparison to how the Giants played against the Panthers this week at home.

Brett Favre has melted down, he has divided the locker room, with some players dying to get jackson re-instated as the qb.

Do they not like winning games or something? Because they won't be in the hunt to win any Superbowls with Tavaris Jackson at QB.

Really, his stats were better than Favres last year, or at least in the business end of the season.

The vikings wont win it no matter who they put in there thank God.

first of all, indy dont get anything other than kudos for going unbeaten, why would they not rest their players. the first thing that any new QB says is that the hardest thing in the NFL is the speed of the D they are facing. Makes sense to give the kid a few snaps with nothing that matters on the line. They have the division won (for which they get a bonus) they have homefield advantage, which gets them a bonus and makes the road to the Superbowl a lot easier. The pressure of going unbeaten got to the Pats and they had a better team than this years Colts. Bad news for the other teams in the jets division, but thats the way it goes...

On the favre thing- its just more of the same blah- why people get so annoyed and worked up about Brett Favre is beyond me. The news coverage before he joined the Jets was unreal here- was nothing else on tv at all. Over nothing...

The vikings should win tonight and should make the playoffs and thats why they brought the guy in in the first place. Tavaris jackson was never going to get them there and it looks as if Favre will, so theres a few disagreements along the way- do you think the Vikings will care if they end up with a Sperbowl? - me neither...

What do you think will happen when he fails to take them to te Superbowl and win it? I will tell you, the cracks will appear, the finger pointing will start and Favre will leave them with a bitter taste in his mouth the way he left the pack and the Jets. The jets players called him out and so will that shower in Minnesota.

Some massive hits being put in this texas and georgia tech college game

if the Colts win the Superbowl, the coaches were right, if they don't they were wrong. just like if Patriots made that 4th and 2 against the Colts, Belicheck would be a gutsy genius coach.

Dont know whats wrong with the Giants. Well I do, they are still the same team they were before they had a good late season run to win a Superbowl.

This is why i thought it was a mistake for the Vikiings to go for Favre, he'll look grand until December, you can go back to my posts in this thread from August or whenever he signed if you care that much. Tonight might not tell us anything about them as the Bears are only playing for pride at this stage.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Giants defense has been awful, as has been the running game, in particular Jacobs. They'll come good again, although a little bit of tinkering might be needed. Attitude has a lot to do with it though - there was no excuse for that mess yesterday. Ironically, before the season, most people were worried about the passing game, particularly in light of how they struggled last year after Burress shot himself. However, Manning has had a good season overall, while the receivers have been much better than expected.

Family guy

Gona say brett farve will choke 2nite with the vikings struggling to win 17 13    ;)

heganboy

if thats the case, it'll be the first time he chokes on MNF- just cant see it, especially with the chat about Lovie Smith getting the road after next weeks game...

Farve showing his class now when chips are down....the mans unreal

:D :D :D :D :D

he played against a team that has nothing to play for, one with a lame duck coach and a team that has almost as many key injuries as it did healthy players and the queens still managed to lose to da bears. :D :D :D :D

The vikings have gone as cold as the weather, the pack beat the bears twice and those losses to the queens are fast becoming a distant memory.

Let the games begin, give three weeks and he will retire again, only to come back and ruin some other club if not the queens.

The pack went with Rodgers, a class act and a far, far better footballer than one burt favre.

Gotta agree Stew, you're going way too far with the blinkered Favre hatred here.

The Vikes current problems have much more to do with the loss of EJ Henderson, the absence of Pat Williams, and All Day's problems with fumbling the ball, than with Favre.

Yeah he had a couple of shaky games where he looked like the bad old Favre, but he didn't regress as far as last year. Don't forget the NFC playoffs will probably all be indoors, so his late season woes will probably not be nearly as pronounced.

Rating TJax above him is ridiculous. With TJax the Vikes are a team who could make noise in the playoffs. With Favre they're a threat to win it all. Big difference.

I'm no big fan but you've gotta give credit where it's due!
