DeSean Jackson has been released by the eagles. Apparently he has some gangland contacts they are not too comfortable with!  :o

There is obviously more to this De Sean Jackson story than we are being told. They tried to trade him before he was cut but nobody was interested. It is hard to believe they are getting rid of such a good player for no good reason.

See AZs post earlier, alleged gangland contacts, poor work ethic, late for team meetings. Teams aren't going to take any chances after Aaron Hernandez
"When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us"

Must be springtime. The NCAA Basketball is down to the Final Four next weekend, (none of which are in my bracket!) and after a couple of early tasters, the boys of summer start back. Today is officially 'Opening Day' for Major League Baseball.

Jackson is not being treated well here. The media here are all over this, and all we seem to be hearing is , gang this , gang that! All a load of shite . The Eagles have clearly a different agenda here, and are afraid to pay him what he's worth. He's an excellent wideout and one of the games best deep threats. Chip Kelly is on record , TWO weeks ago, singing his praises, saying what an excellent player he was. He caught 87 passes last year. There wasn't a word of any of this , late for meetings, bad attitude etc during last season. Why now? They clearly want shot of him, no need to blacken his character as you are doing it!

Seventh-seeded Connecticut versus eighth-seeded Kentucky meet in college basketball final on Monday.

Shows how tough it is to predict anything in college sports.

Some show they put on for an amateur org.

So Colin Kaepernick has become embroiled in a possible date rape case in Miami. Classy. We'll see how it plays out because there are lots of women who look for a big settlement by making claims but likewise there's plenty of cases of players drugging women - it's pretty clear Darren Sharper was a prolific sex offender, for example.

This is funny. A Minor League team played a month long trick on an ex Major Leaguer (Jeff Francoeur) by convincing him one of their pitchers was deaf.
