Only seen this was on last minute and unfortunately couldn't get as was otherwise engaged. Do you know if it's possible to get presentations/slides/booklets on the information presented? I'd happily pay for it.

Hey all.

I have a signed hurl by the Tipp All Ireland winning team of 1991 in my possession. I actually won it back in 91/92 in a raffle/draw.

The signatures have naturally faded over time but most still legible and of course anyone who is familiar with that panel would probably recognise more names than me (I'm a Derry man!).

I have some pics so can send them.

If anyone is interested sure drop me a pm.

GAA Discussion / Re: Time for Joe to go??
August 04, 2013, 10:52:51 AM
Having sifted through this thread I see no mention of Joe's and Mickey Harte's petty feud (read their newspaper articles) which has been going on over the last 18 months or so.

This is simply a continuation.

McIver let himself down along the line this evening. No call for it. Serious verbal abuse of the ref. I was about 20 yards from it and if our manager did what he did in a league game in Down he would be crucified.

Brian had every right to give this excuse for a referee verbals, for the first 2 free's Down were awarded were farcical and this incompetency continued through the first half.

I'm by no means defending his language, but any other manager would have had the same things to say.

The referee gave Down everything in the first half, and although Derry were certainly very fortunate not to concede a few free's in the second half, his inadequate performance was certainly not a factor in Downs defeat.

How would a subbuteo type game work with GAA? The players would have to hold the ball as well? Be a hoor to count four flicks as well :) Or are you basically just talking about a Subbuteo soccer game with 15 players and county colours? What about point taking?

I loved Subbuteo myself AZ and had regular tournaments with friends!

Firstly, the players don't hold the ball but the 'technique/action' using the players allows for accurate and realistic, passing, point taking and of course rattling the onion bag. Also gives fans of dead ball kicking a great thrill!

My father designed this game for me and my brothers about 20 years ago. He actually took it to someone who felt it was a great game but because it was aimed at the GAA, it wouldn't be worthwhile.

I would imagine the main issue around a computer game is the amount of investment it would take for a limited market.

I'm very confident the game provides excellent gameplay for all age groups whilst providing as near to real life as it can be.

From i was a small child, all i ever wanted was some sort of game to replicate the thrill of Gaelic Football.

I'm not saying i have something completely innovative, but as such there isn't anything on the market like it.

Thanks Feckitt!

Subbuteo is the closest thing i can compare it to, this is much better though!  8)

Seriously though, i'd love to push forward with the game, but a little unsure about which direction to go

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to gauge if there is a market for a GAA game like Subbuteo.

Considering the 'techno world' we live in today with all the computers, consoles etc. is the game/boardgame extinct?

I believe strongly that i have a great game, but unsure whether to go ahead with prototype.

Any views and opinions would be welcomed.

Thanks

Armagh / Re: Armagh Club football & hurling
June 07, 2013, 06:29:49 PM
I have for sale a framed Armagh team photograph of the 2002 Ulster and All Ireland Champions.

Its one of only 300 that were produced at the time, 40/50 of which were given to the players, management etc.

It still has the wrapping around the frame.

Should anyone be interested or knows someone who might be interested, feel free to pm me.

Thanks

I think the biggest area of concern for Tyrone after yesterday must be the severe malnutrition of Colm Cavanagh.
