Quote from: imtommygunn on Today at 10:04:14 AMTends to be twitter I think. But for twitter there'd be no Jamie Bryson and I don't think there'd be the rise there is in the south either.

At least Bryson isn't hiding behind a fake name like 99.9% of the hate filled bastids on there are

Just listened to part 3 of the Christy Moore interview on Free State.. He was talking about these online 'patriots' who are seemingly afraid of nothing, but using their own names

Quote from: Norm-Peterson on April 30, 2024, 05:34:04 PMThe draw suits me. At the start of the year I posted that I wanted Derry to give Armagh another sickener in an Ulster final. I didn't get that but they can always sicken them in Celtic park.

Any visit to Derry is always puke inducing, but perhaps we'll beat Donegal who can then go to Derry and give you another lesson.

Ouch!

Quote from: J70 on April 30, 2024, 04:00:54 PMSo Dublin v Mayo/Galway losers will NOT be in Croke Park?

Gaelic Grounds?
Clones?
It definitely won't be in Parnell Park, so maybe a neutral venue like Croke Park.

It hasn't happened in the new format so far, why would it happen this year?

Quote from: marty34 on April 29, 2024, 06:14:47 PMWill the final in Clones be a sell out?

Of course it will! Why wouldn't it?

it would be nice if they could ensure that all persons who attended league games got a ticket and that busloads of drunken louts did not.

In this day and age it wouldn't be hard to have some kind of loyalty scheme going surely?

Seeing that type of shite sickens me.

Ach, loyalty schemes aren't that bad Joe

Quote from: mup on April 29, 2024, 08:41:58 AM22k at Croke Park yesterday. Sure everything is grand. Well done the GAA. Hope ye are proud.

Ostriches.

Would definitely do no harm to move the Leinster games out of CP for a year or two. No Dubs I know would have an issue with this

Louth will give Dublin a game for 45/50 mins. Kildare, what is the craic there? Could be doing with a McGuinness or a Gallagher type manager

Jesus himself couldn't do a job for Kildare. Brain dead footballers who can't get the basics right.

Sounds like it time to dust off your boots

Quote from: tonto1888 on April 29, 2024, 10:32:30 AMany guitar players got any tips of mastering barre chords

* make sure your hand / arm is correct, ie you'll want your thump and index finger to form a clamp.

* learn to play open E with your middle, ring and pinky finger (makes it easier to move the E shape barre chairs down the fret board)

* maybe start with power chords, ie E A D strings (E shape barre) or A D G strings (A shape barre) and learn to navigate up and down the fret board memorising the chords.

* do not get hung up on all the strings ringing clear, the bottom B string can be a brut. Work on placing the barre chord as quick and accurately as you can.

Haven't looked, but I'm sure Justin Sandercoe or Andy Guitar would have a video or two with better / clearer tips

cheers for the reply. Will look those two up. Its the B and Low E strings which never sound right. Always sound muted for me

You must be going rightly if you're learning the barre chords

Ive been playing on and off for a while but the last few months been doing it more consistently. Ive always stopped when I get to the barre chords but am determined to get them this time

Best of luck. If you haven't already, and want to move up the neck, try triads. If you know basic barre shaping, it's handy enough to work out the major and minor triad for each chord, it's a quare adventure.

I am currently working on flight of the icarus to get the hang of a gallop riff

Sounds like I'm teaching my granda how to suck eggs  ;D
