Corofin game off.

Costly postponement for Corofin, you'd hope the costs for the refixture will be covered by the GAA.

Corofin wouldn't be short a penny.

Or play the rescheduled fixture in Galway?

Nonsense to suggest Fulham should lose home advantage because of an act of nature. That would set a terrible precedent.

If they're already over there, they won't be back tonight.

They were due back to Shannon this evening but looks like most flights out of London are cancelled, there's a good few of the younger lads with college exams tomorrow too I heard. Regardless of how much money a club has they shouldn't be expected to have to fork out twice for an expensive trip like that Syferus. And from next year on the London champs are into the Connacht championship so there'll be a Connacht team making this trip every year, it's a huge expense for a county team, never mind a club team.

And i think Corofin have a Divison 1 senior league final v St. James fixed for Wednesday night.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

They do indeed, You'd wonder why it couldn't wait until Saturday when people might actually go to watch it.

Donie Vaughan signing up for Castlebar next season.
That's a joke, if he was based in Dublin or Galway you might understand, but Castlebar is hardly a long trek. And to do it when Ballinrobe have just been relegated from senior really is a kick in the teeth for the club.

Did he have a falling out with someone at the club? The distance excuse obviously doesn't wash. Ballinrobe is about 20 minutes down the road. Not great optics to leave your club as soon as they are relegated. I'm sure they were hoping he'd lead them straight back up.

Did he think playing intermediate football would affect his Mayo chances? Don't see how it would as long as he performed. Plenty of great players on intercounty teams from intermediate clubs.

Hardly a good enough excuse for such a switch.

With Richie Feeney gone they needed someone they could rely on to get sent off in an AI final.
