So its 1am and I hear one of the dogs growling this morning and figure he wants out to go do his business. Stumble out of the bed, pull on some shorts, walk to the door, open the door and come face to face (literally a foot away) with a fecking 250lb bear. At first I thought someone had glued two newfoundlands one on top of the other and stuck it outside my door, then I saw the teeth and realised that no glue is that strong. Managed thankfully to pull the pups back by their tails, closed the door and shit my pants.
Called the cops as it wouldnt leave. Cops arrived after 30 mins (bear appeared to have left) and stand in the driveway shining the light at my front door. I call from the window - "You want to come down"
Cop says, "No way! - someone called in a report of a bear there..."
To serve and protect.

I should note that I dont live in Ireland anymore..

Where did the phrase gagging for it come from? Surely that should come after?

Anyways, like I said, a curry chip and a cup of tae - its the future.

The girl is not making a move!

Be a man smiler!

Signing off with x - *shakes head*

Ack ballox PoG! Those girls are cuter hoors than the kerry men of old! Most of them have a fair idea of what they are up to - best thing to do, steal her phone and see if she sends xox to every fecker shes writing to. Then invite her over for a curry chip and a cup of tae.

Thats how I ended up in my current predicament :o :( >:( ???

Killerball was the specialty in our days. That and pitchin pound coins - as illegal as it was.

I think this is lovely music for my funeraL. I hope i wont need it soon or anything but when i go at an aul age i want this played an the hole chapel will be in tears. What woud you like played when the time comes?
A mate of min said he wanted grate balls of fire played at his crimation. That woud make everybody smile.

The ashokan farewell is actually a tune written by jay ungar. Ive played it at the funeral for both my grandparents. Its a hard tune to not get caught up in when someone has moved on. I might not have so much trouble if I had to play it at an armagh mans funeral ;)

Im not sure its true at all, just called home there and asked the brother what the report said, he said it was an old report that read
"Mickey harte is resigned to being without tyrone captain brian dooher" in reference to the quarterfinal defeat to meath.
I think mickey wants to give kerry one more chance to beat tyrone... ;)

My ma used to make me wear the shorts to primary school in the good weather. It made for some awful times in a school with such a small number of pupils (the one kid with the shorts out of 42 kinda stuck out).

I know exactly what you are on about

You know what didnt help either now that I come to think about it, was that 41 of the kids were from the country, and I was from the county town. In a country school - What was my old man thinking!!? ???
In fairness though, one of the best primary school experiences I can imagine. Didnt appreciate it at the time tho, but gabriel, you were lucky with that school bag, I had a JENYOUWINE leather satchel... ;)

So it turns out that one of the primary differences in the tayto from the north, and the south, is that up in tandragee they are trying to kill us all by putting MSG in the fecking crisps. The wife made me promise to never ate another bag of the yellow ones. I just dont know that I can do it.

I actually prefer college games to NFL games – players are a lot more athletic – the excitement levels cannot compare either

Gabriel, are you associated with any university athletics over there? Im in Nevada myself, not a great football team, but the basketball team have done very well this past few seasons. Theres something unique about how much community interest gets generated - something I didnt notice in my time at queens.

Dammit, I thought I was going to be the first one to get john daly in there.

Daly
Darren Clarke
Willie John McBride
Eddie Irvine

Think the craic would be serious, but if anyone of them dropped out, Id plump for pascal mcconnell as a replacement.

Really, when you are picking a players in a cathegory like this there are rules to follow:

You can't pick some one who was at the tail end of their career......Mickey Linden
You can't pick some one who is at the begining of their career.......Ciaran Donaghy
You are looking for consistency over a period of 5 years or more......Anthony Tohill
You are looking for a player who did not go missing in big games.....Peter Canavan
You are looking at a player who was a managers dream, no injuries, no sendings off, no stupid press interviews........James Nallen
You are looking for a player who was maybe not on the best team, but always turned up......Declan Browne[/b][/i]

Really you could have 3 teams one for every five years.

Sweet jesus the standard of lunacy on this board just hit an all time high. Demonstrate one big game canavan went missing in, and ill come over and wash your car.

No point in laying all those rules down, the competition that inspired this thread doesn't have those rules. At the end of the day it is down to individuals opinions, some people won't play lads out of position (the way the all stars used to be done) and some will,(the way that they are now).

I also agree with Puckoon, you are well wide of the mark with your comments about Canavan, ask someone from Kerry, Armagh or Dublin (to think of just a few games off the top of the head)

Feck Sake Louth Exile and Puckoon what part of NOT do you NOT understand. I gave Canavan as an example of some one who DID NOT go missing in big games. JESUS ???

I guess its been a shorter summer than Id have liked. The hackles were quick to rise. I apologise fair sir. :-X
